I'll be backing AJ. Martin would be twice the odds if he hadn't picked up the IBF by default. You can debate how durable Martin will be but his offence isn't great.

Mostly because I fancy a punt but also believe Fury wasn't levelling when he said he thinks Martin will smash him and also I expect could be some value for Martin due to the hype machine around Joshua.

If you go to Boxrec and do a quick head to head you'll see a common opponent in Raphael Zumbano Love. Frustratingly AJ did him in just the halfway mark of round 2 when I needed him to hold on another 10 secs. Charles Martin stopped him in the 10th.

I also think it's unlikely AJ has some secret flaw we don't know about. If he did the Hearns wouldn't of sunk millions of pounds into him.

Obviously you want a big priced punt so look at AJ rounds 7-12 at 9/2 or 4-1. In poker terms I fancy the less talented guy to nit it up and see if the more talented guy gets out of line. The better sees all this, adjusts,  and grinds him down early doors.

I've had a flutter on Connor Benn in round 1 @6/5. His opponent has the body of a boxer rather than one of the Eastern European bin men but he does have a round 1 loss versus Bradley Saunders' little brother.

In the cross roads garbage fight I've had to back Brian Rose. Matt Macklin's body looks to be letting him down. Last time out he scraped past an English regional title level fighter in Jason Welborn with some help from the ref. Then there's the questionable KO loss to Heiland and the marginal points win over a German bum prior to that.

One Matchroom shorty I'm swerving is Lee Selby. For how sensational he looks at times he can be a bit of a bitch. Lastly, if George Groves is still giving it the billy big time with his ring walk then I'll be a points backer at 10/3.

I emptied the clip on Rose when the prices first came out. Macklin is shot to shit. I've also backed Rose KO as well as I really think Macklin is done.

^What he said. Several times I wrote something to that effect but couldn't hit send.  Reccing someone else have a max bet on Brian Rose didn't sound right.

How on earth did that dirty bastard not get a point deducted in the 10th. That dick punch was as cynical as you can get.
