How is that not a deep run?

Because they haven't even made the cash yet.

Just because it's a well-structured tournament that allows for a lot of play doesn't mean you've gone deep.

By the same argument, you could say that any player who makes day 3 of the main event has had a deep run. This clearly isn't true as the bubble isn't broken until day four or are we now suggesting that the 1203 players who made it through day 3 of the ME last year all had a deep run?

From reading tweets people seem to think the structure isn't quite right, with the blinds early being really small but increasing too quickly in terms of size not time.

i was one of a small hand full of poker players in a large field of french men Andy. suited my ABC style down to the ground.

as for the wsop main, in my small sample size the field is incredibly weak and getting through the first couple of days is all about survival and finding the right spots to take chips off those that will inevitably donk em too you. guess this year will be a little tougher as i would expect the %age of players who can play to be slightly higher. you are better than a lot of the suckers that will be playing. dont give those suckers an even break by racing with em, they are good at getting it in pre flop racing but are pretty clueless about what to do once the flop comes down.
gl andy, funking for you

Ima just fold lots and see if being an absolute nit but wearing big headphones and a hoody makes people spew.

I've also found that alot of the younger guys playing the WSOP events played absolutely awfully being so spewey it was ridiculous. Still haven't won a flip out here yet though and best not flop any sets

At least I got me a $10 food voucher when I bought in I need feeding up! Smiley

but the queue for the food will be massive and you will probably starve before getting to the front of it.
