Thought Phil behaved with dignity!! I'm very surprised at this fundamental personality change but I like it!!! I haven't been the biggest Hellmuth fan of recent years but I really felt for him with this one..really funking for him in the ME now..as long as he doesn't turn up with 35 lions and a GaGa obv. BTW What the fuck was Scotty Nguyen on?  Disgusting behavior on the way to taking RAZZ HORSE bracelet.... xx |

Harsh, but still funny! FWIW, I'm not a Hellmuth fan but it seems very blinkered to deride his achievements in the game. He might not have 3 bracelets to his name this year but he's surely laid to rest any doubts about his abilities or his right to be among the poker legends. Well deserved POTY, and not reliant on Holdem to achieve it. I think leaving UB has done him good (and it's part of the reason why I dislike him less than I used to). |

Leaving UB has got nothing to do with Phils so called attitude change.
There will be 2 reasons
1. Phil is very shrewd, and he is now seeing alot of negative association to his antics from former supporters. He has been working in "new phil" for a couple of years, all he needs is something to fully implement it with - this could well be it. His problem will be that underneath his is a whinger (see tip dealer comment) and he will never totally lose the image
2. He has been working with Sam Chauhan (sp?) alot and this has changed his outlook and undoubtably had a massive impact on his game
The only thing that has amazed me about Phil is that he went all these years being sponsored by UB but never having any of the shit stick to him - that is very impressive
Im delighted we wont have to listen to him beat the 12 bracelets drum, it will be interesting to see if he can hold in the 3 2nd place whine!
