I'd have raised more preflop.

Raise to $80 and hope he doesn't have KJ. He could easily have AT or A9 here either.

i over raise the pot to $140. Just to make sure he pays over the odds for the draw or average hand i think he is on.

I am rubbish at ring games tho.

I would be very worried that he has check called you twice and he is utg. He has now bet into when an ace has fallen so i am asking myself if he has bet because i raised preflop and he thinks i hold an ace (so i put him on trips) or is he playing his hand. I can't see him playin trips like this unless he has aces but even then, to switch from slow playing aces to now playin them seems odd (although it is possible now that an inside straight and flush draw are on the board).

I think he is just playin his hand. Probably has A-10 or something. Because you have been raising all the way through i now just call so that he thinks it is weakness. Raise his bet on the end.

If my calculations are right there is now 100 in the pot and to get level with him 32 more makes 132. Therefore depending on what you put him on, I want to keep him in the hand without murdering cash. I am putting him on the made straight or more likely AJ so he has top pair and an open ended straight.

I minimum raise in position here to 64. This will do two things. If the river fills my boat, he will probably not believe it as I min raised the turn and he will pay me. If the river is a brick and he holds teh nut straight, he will check to my raise expecting me to lead out on the river. I of course won't do this and will now check behind him and showdown to see if my QQQ was good.

By the look of that board shite himself i would imagine.

well i would think you slung in a raise there, surely if he had the KJ or J8 he would check raise you. I have him on AT. And i think he has you on AK.

This is the first time he has bet out, I would think he does'nt like the look of the board now any more than you do..

You have to raise imo. Raise it up to 100. I think you have the best hand at the moment but you hand is vunerable on this board, straight and flush draws out there plus a possibly 2 pair. If he has kj there is now way you are putting this down and you have outs against his straight. Please don't tell me he has aces i might be sick.

In response to the posts above, surely you are only scared of a king falling on the end?

Edit: or an ace of course

Id' raise to determine the strength of your hand.

You can't let a draw hit a cheap card.

I do smell KJ though. Could be a definite possibility, but you can't play in fear.

But even then, apart from a slowplay with aces, this is the only hand that has you beat, so don't worry too much. You can still outdraw a straight, plus he could have lower trips or two pair and pay you off. If he has aces, then that's just the way it goes, but I suspect he would have raised somewhere down the line with that hand.

how wonderful it is to have an hour or so to ponder this hand, when tighty must have had to do this in about 45 sec. You must have raised him there, If only to see where you stand. I can't put him on AA here, I think tighty would have seen a check raise when he bet on the flop. I still got him on AT. But WTF do i know, i'm a fish

On the flop, his check-call indicated a draw.
On the turn, his play indicated he had made something, I suspect pair of aces or two pair. I would think JK would be played more aggressively.
I'd have done exactly the same as you have done. Dying to know how it ends.  Cheesy

I don't like the amount of your raise tight, would you have laid it down to a re raise? You have provided the pot odds for him to draw to a hand.
