Everyone talks about Henman choking but I think that's horlicks. Henman achieved the most of what he was capable of, and made a decent career of it, he was never going to be at the top level and wp him for doing his best.

Murray though is frustrating as fk, people wll say the same old shit, he choked, he's not good enough etc etc. Imo this is bs, the whole "choking" concept pisses me off. No doubt for me Murray has the skills to win a slam, he's proven in the slams he's good enough to beat anyone. Mentally though he is an amateur, and there's a difference between not being mentally tough and choking, you can't choke if the winning line wasn't even in site and today at no point was there a case of Murray being in site of winning the match. He did however have a chance to get a strangle hold on the match, he didn't choke when he missed the simple forehand to get 2 break points when it was 2-1 in the second, at that point he was flying, confidence and self belief where sky high, but he simply messed up the shot, as every single player on the tour will do many many times at any stage of a match. As soon as he did miss it though and Nadal held his serve I thought he'd lose his next service game and if he did the match was over. But if that had've been any of the other top players, and I don't just mean the top 3, I would've expected them to forget about the missed opportunity and focus on the rest of a set they where very much still in. Murray needs to do a lot of work on the mental side of his game, and if he doesn't, then those who constantly say he'll never win a slam will disappointingly probably be correct.

He basically missed one small opportunity and went on massive tilt and spewed off the very good chance that he had, such a waste. I still believe he will win at least one slam, but my belief in that has wained a lot and the problem is I believe it has for him too.

I hope he does it one day, he deserves it for all his hard work and talent.

Hes playing good tournaments, hes just unfortuante atm that Rafa and Nole are just beyond sick.

Come on Maria and Nole! Give me one winner at least.

He could've won today if he didn't lose his head, Rafa didn't play that great for the first set and a half and if Murray had've kept going in the 2nd set he could've kept forcing Nadal into mistakes like he had been doing.

I really thought Tiger Tim made the most of his game, once a year the masses would roll out the fist pump and they would happily cheer him until the semi finals or before his early exit. No idea why, though I was a Rusedeski fan!

As for Murray, yes hes a much better all round player, who can compete with the best on his day. The ability to string a championship together eludes and will always be a step away as long as there are the three better players out there. Temperament is huge whilst on court and as things stand Murray is moons behind...Add into the mix that Murray has the ability to fall at any hurdle, the opportunity for him to win a slam is slim. Tour events prove more fruitful as he often only has to beat one of the three superior players and the surface suits his game in addition to the lack of pressure.

As long as there is Rafa, Novak, a competiting Roger and whoever is upcoming I just can not see it, although the media will sell the 'theres always next year' bandwagon.

Brilliant from Kvitova. Utterly dominated Sharapova.

Says a lot about the poor quality in women's tennis that she even made the final tbh.

Anyone care to take a guess what odds Novak would be if he goes a set down today?
Thinking of laying of my Nadal to win bet but thinking of betting on Novak to win the first set instead of outright. It's shorter odds but means I would then freeroll the Nadal win if Novak won the first set. If he lost it then can back Novalk outright but wanted to know what odds to expect.

I fancy a five set classic! This is the main event of the weekend, though I have not caught up with Faber v Cruz so may be wrong!
