Black Friday

One of my local charity charity shops had a great motorcycle jacket for £25, reduced to £12.50 for black Friday.  Smiley

I'm all for a bargain Tom, just don't want to be bombarded with TV adverts and junk mail for this NEW to the UK craze. I was in the US during last years Black Friday, it was manic, violence erupted all over the place between shoppers. One woman even shot and killed another over a pair of shoes FFS.

£12.50 though...

I can't argue with that mate 😀

Just get to the front of the queue by taking a temporary job as a mall security guard.

Now that's a good idea.

I don't understand how this thing has hit the UK.  In the USA it's based around thanksgiving and the vast majority of workers having the Thursday off for TG then booking off Friday as well for an extended weekend.  The vast majority of them go xmas shopping on the Friday which makes sense as it is the end of the month and they have been paid etc etc.

Just got no idea given there is no bank holidays in the UK how this has even reached the UK.  Totally biazzre.  Can only assume it's the power of Amazon online globally and the uk firms are scared of being left behind and are being reactive to this American juggernaut!

I hope that was a deliberate reference.
