I recently transferred my private reg to my daughters car. To prove who my daughter and I were and where we lived we had to send off something with our names and addresses on. We decided to send our photo driving licences as this was 1 of the specified items that could be used. It has been 5 weeks since the documents were sent so we called DVLA today, as we are yet to receive the licenses back, only to be told they have destroyed them as thats normal practice when they receive a licence through the post. What a load of bollocks. I pointed it out to them that their website states a driving licence is 1 of the items we could send. They blatantly told me I was wrong and that I will have to pay £20 each if I want them replaced and they MIGHT refund the money only if I complain showing proof. Fucking idiots. https://www.gov.uk/personalised-vehicle-registration-numbers/transferring-a-registration-number

Car and lorry drivers who squeeze past cyclists on the road. putting their lives in danger.
I would rather have the odd pedestrian get pissed off with me.

That's another matter altogether and I agree entirely that drivers should be more considerate of cyclists. That they aren't doesn't give cyclists the excuse to ride at full speed on pavements sending old people and young children scattered in their wake.

That they aren't doesn't give cyclists the excuse to ride at full speed on pavements sending old people and young children scattered in their wake. That's a completely different statement. I imagine the same thing applies to pedestrians who run at full speed on pavements sending old people and young children scattered in their wake.

That cyclists think they can ride 2 or 3 deep on a road without paying any road tax.
