Hi Chris

As a Luton reg my view is slightly different

Motivations are not always the same, and might be -EV to many

For example, blonde league points.

More pertinently, playing in the same small player pool week after week I think it can be counter-productive to be hard-nosed. It often suits me and my style to be emollient as generally I will not be making finals as a top 2 or 3 stack and savers can, as a social player looking to make it pay for itself as a minimum, help me do that. Especially when in 30-45 runner fields perhaps 6 are paid from 10 finalists

If you want to deal, that's completely and utterly up to you.

The issue isn't about that, it's the attitude shown towards those who don't. Before you start the tournament (or at least very soon after) you're made aware of just how many are paid. If someone chooses not to extend the bubble beyond that, they shouldn't have to be made to feel like they're a prick for saying no.

and I agree with Solaris. If someone doesn't want to saver, talk over. Crack on, no need to be an arse about it

Yes, some people can be though

I fail to see how I've been confrontational in this thread. You yourself agree with me that the attitude shown by some during bubble discussions is incorrect and I've merely pointed that out.

Still, if that's the way you want to be with me, fair enough. I'm sure I'll get by.

FWIW I find it strange that you call people who don't want to do a deal 'hard-nosed'. What makes a person 'hard-nosed' for wanting to go along with the original payouts that are given?

In small local comps, where the player pool is smallish to refuse a saver, especially if the only one to do so, is hard nosed I think

No problem if someone does, everyone has their own motivations

Also less hard nosed if you are there as a one off

but if you are regular, then I think the comment made earlier about non financial considerations/social aspects has merit.

I mean your posts per day ratio are low cos you joined last year but have only just recently become active.

I spose we'll see when you hit 300 posts how long it takes for a thread to go up on the staking board

FWIW I think you'll sell out in record time
