I didn't say "they don't hang out at sea" - I merely said that they're not "sea birds", they're coastal birds.

Anyway, it was David Attenborough who said it - and I'm going with him.

They don't go out to see as 'seabirds' do. True seabirds live for weeks and months at a time at sea, eating, sleeping and even breeding out at sea.  Gulls don't do that.

I go swimming - doesn't make me a fish (yes, I know I'm a fish at poker).

Walk away Dawn.

Arguing with boshi is like trying to shove butter up a porcupine's arse with a hot needle. (Frustrating, and he enjoys it more than you do).

I'll happily give up after reading that.  Need to dry the monitor once I clear the stream flying from me eyes!

Avocets can live near the sea.  Doesn't make them a seabird.

Wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii

Someone was reading our seagull debate and happened to go back a page or 20 where they stumbled on to my yanky snack food references.

Butterfingers and crunchy cheetos are on the way!!!

Imagine my luck!  'Jeff' from Windows support just phoned expecting to help me with any issues I'm having with my computer.  Except that I haven't been in touch with Windows support in like - YEARS.

"Hi ma'am, this is Jeff from Windows support calling regarding your computer."

Now I'm not normally the prejudice type, but based on his accent, there's no fecking way his name was Jeff.  I'm betting it's an easier name for him to use when speaking to the likes of me.  Anyway, doesn't matter.  I'm in a good mood so decide to go the polite route...

"Hi Jeff. My computer's grand but thanks for calling to check in."  Then, before hanging up, I politely say "Have a good day."

You'd think that would be the end of it, but oh no...Jeff phoned back.

"Hi ma'am, this is Jeff from Windows support calling regarding your computer."

"Yes Jeff, you just phoned here and were told my computer's grand so I'm a bit confused as to why you might ring again."

Radio silence from me while I waited for a reply.  Radio silence on his end too.  They obviously hadn't factored in this type of response in his manual.  In the end, Jeff decided it was best to give up.  Without saying another word, he hung up and he's not phoned back since.

I guess my computer really is grand.

See...if I had an opinion on which one I was, he'd swoop right in to debate how I was wrong.  Trouble maker if ya ask me.  Ban the boshi!!!

In other news...  only a short time after being discussed here, I've been told the merkin is causing a stir in New York.
