The last hi roller tourney i was around was at the black belt london live.....think it had 22-25 runners was over in less than 2 hours and they did a 5 or 6 way chop, was a farce of a tourney, if this one was £2 or £2.5k as it shud be, how many runners would be in it??? lucky to get 20 imo so credit to DTD they seem to know their market.... looked like the £250k guarantee on the MC was gonna have a 20k overlay at one point, but they met that. The guarantees attract the players and the £1/4 mill for the GP in Aug, for a 60 euro buy in, is phenomenal!
Well you've clearly missed my point, why not just call it a £500 side since it clearly isn't a high roller?

60k.
As I got there, an interesting spot was being played out preflop. Alex Goulder raised from the hijack, only for Matt Perrins to 3-bet to 16.2k from the button. Goulder then 4-bet to 36k only for Perrins to push all in. Shaking his head, Alex passed.

I've just seen Mitch win a hand (first time today, for me as I can't watch the stream) when he raised Huu Loung Bui's 5900 bet to 21k on a
flop.
Sam Welbourne is out after he shoved A-9 short and ran into Alex Ferguson's Q-Q.

"The cleverly named high roller which is 1/2 the buyin of the main event"
Your point was quite simply put.....one line!.... so to say i dont get it is a little condescending, no need for that buddy the blog is supposed to be a friendly place, I agree strongly that they could have chosen a different name for the event...i was simply stating that the event itself was a good idea and that it fitted in well with the rest of the festival, shame there wasnt a guarantee on that one as it might have been better supported!

I spotted a mountain of chips over at table 14 but when I got there, they were mainly ante chips.
However, the board was
and Alex Goulder had bet 7500, only to see Greek Jack raise to 20k. Alex thought for a bit before raising to 100k, effectively putting Jack at risk. Jack called them off with
onlyo to see Alex turn over a set -
Alex's hand held on the
turn and
river, sending Jack home in 50th.
