the reason i was picking def higher is the amount of points they earnt last season and are projected for this season seems to be a big gap
so you really don't want to be the last person to pick a def or you could be left with the eagles (or worse)
not sure i agree. in these nfl.com drafts there are 10 teams, there are ten decent defenses, the points dispersion is not that great compared to picking a running back at 50 compared to waiting to pick one at 100.... if we end up in the blonde league picking 15 teams, then the strategy is different. you might argue there aren't 15 defenses you want to have in your line up this week you might also argue that there aren't 15 fantasy football starting tight ends, so both TE and defenses might be picked higher than they are in a 10 team league |

example is seahawks 209 projected points redskins 18th rated team in draft 109 that's 6 points a game i am not sure how close games are but 6 points a game sounds huge |

example is seahawks 209 projected points redskins 18th rated team in draft 109 that's 6 points a game i am not sure how close games are but 6 points a game sounds huge yes but the better comparision is in the top 10. in any mock you are doing you'll pick up one of these.. seahawks broncos 49ers pats rams chiefs bengals panthers texans packers off the top of my head dispersion is much less obviously beyond that then 5-6 points is big, but even waiting to rounds 13-14 you'll get a top ten unless idiots are pickinng two defenses! |

think blonde league was 15 last year
obviously strategy changes with more teams, more of a premium on going early on positions where there is no depth.
of course, the seahawks defense may not be what it was last year. it may be. thats the luck/skill of assessing the projections
