Feel a bit of a fraud really.
I was very lucky to make the playoffs and all 3 teams I beat in the playoffs were better managed and had more talent on their squad than mine.

Time to start the scouting for next season already!
I did point out in a few of the updates that the target was to make the play-offs, and from there anything can happen. In that respect, it replicates the NFL perfectly, even though it can be somewhat harsh on the teams who boss the regular season. Part of me hates it, but it's authentic!
Right then, the recruiting season for next season kicks off in earnest right now!
Can everyone please confirm whether they want to do this all over again next year, as those places are guaranteed. It'll be a variable buy-in once again so there'll be an option to suit all budgets, but I'll reconfirm everything near to the time. I just want to make sure that the interest is still there from the regulars upfront (and also allow WPIL the necessary number of months required for him to catch up on things!)
We do have one drop out already, in that Jek has advised that he has too many leagues to deal with so is opting out of returning for the blonde one. As you recall, he was a last minute fill-in to give us even numbers and let this run so, whether you loved or loathed his participation this season, his entry did allow us to run the league with everyone who wanted in this season. My thanks go to him for helping me out at short-notice, when needed, but I'm glad his late run of form didn't win it (thus allowing me the brag of having won his league full of Americans, but not vice versa!)
Also, I'm happy to take all feedback on tweaks, suggestions, changes for next year. Feel free to have your say while things are still fresh in the memory.
Oh, and a warning to the newbie players out there. Things will be a bit weird for a few weeks as there is still an NFL season going on, but it's a strange and empty feeling to not have rosters, waivers, etc to worry about from now on (the play-off game on nfl.com is fun, but a tad random to be played for anything more than fun, IMO).
Sorry that the weekly updates tailed off towards the end, but real-life got in the way for a while. I was keen to try to keep the thread alive during the season, as it kind of died in Season 1, and I think it was a success in this respect, if nothing else. I certainly enjoyed the increased level of banter, and I'll be aiming for a 100% report completion rate next year.
