Ok, have I got this right, its a 14 man league with 2 Divisions of 7, so 14 teams in total taking 16 players each?

224 players drafted in total?

Dynasty League:

I've randomised the divisions, updated the waiver priority to reflect last season's finish positions and have now set a 24 hour waiver period (which in theory will clear around this time tomorrow, although the site doesn't give me an exact time, so put in your waiver claims ASAP to be sure).

The audit of player transactions shows me that everyone has made their draft picks except MattyHollis, who has done none of them.  Rather than have more moaning about who I choose to drop or not, I've left his roster untouched, so the following players are immune from being picked up in this waiver period.

1.02   Moore WR (Car)
2.02   Mike Gesicki TE (Mia)
3.02   Jordan Wilkins RB (Ind)
4.02   John Kelly RB (LAR)
5.02   Justin Jackson RB (LAC)

Once this period clears, I need MattyHollis to make these picks by free agency ASAP.  If it looks like this won't happen in time for the first game week, I will make these picks directly and I'll agree a list of dropped players with Tal.  If we reach this point there'll be no additional grace period to alter the choices made, so anyone dropped will become available in the usual way after the Gameweek 1 waiver period.

I've also reversed KarmaDope's pickup of Alfred Morris, which took place 3 days after the final draft pick had been made, and was clearly against the spirit of the leeway given to amend dropped players (which was only done because most of the keeper setup within the league hadn't been completed).

The final task pre-season will be to check the scheduling and correct it to ensure that every team has two inter-divisonal matchups with each opponent (which the software never seems to be able to handle).

Just on a quick admin note, once this waiver period clears, the software will initially default to another 24hr period immediately afterwards, so you won't be able to make free agent picks straight away (which is probably a good thing, since there's no indication available of exactly when they'll clear.  This is due to the change in settings required to get this first waiver period running.  Once processed, I will amend the settings back and open the free agency period on the site, but free agency will officially open at 8pm tomorrow evening (4th September), as timed by the Yahoo site clock.  This is to avoid myself having the advantage of knowing when the settings will change.  In the interests of fairness, any free agent pick timed prior to 8pm (even by 1 second) will be reversed.

DLeague Fees:

I've just checked the incoming payments and it looks like I'm still awaiting £20 from The Sicilian and MattyHollis for the DLeague.  Could you both please send these ASAP so that I'm not out of pocket when I make the annual end of season payment to Tal for winning the league.

Also, just to quickly confirm that prizes for the DLeague will be unchanged from previous seasons, so £160 for the winner with £40 for the runner up.

Redraft League:

Regrettably, I've taken the decision not to run the Redraft League these season.

Ultimately, based on the feedback in the thread and the payments received to date, I don't have enough confirmed interest to guarantee I'll have enough paid-up managers signed up in time for it to run.  Ordinarily, I'd be relaxed about the payment side of things, but I'm still out of pocket from last season's league (admittedly due to not chasing up monies quickly enough on my part) but don't want to start the season relying on receiving 2 year's worth of entries from some participants.  Currently, I only have 3 paid up managers so far (albeit Ironside also requested Paypal details), which isn't enough at this stage.  For those who have paid, I'll get in touch via PM to organise refunding your money.

Additionally, I simply don't know how many people we'd have playing by the time the draft runs tonight, and several people are trying to impose constraints on player numbers that I simply don't have the answers to, or control over, as it's dependent on confirmed interest.  Despite the fact that I advised the draft date and time on the thread in July and that we ran without issue in a single league of 14 players last season, there are some managers who only want to play if the league is smaller than this, which is too much additional hassle on top of the usual stress of getting an even number of managers into the right leagues at the right time.  Some of the existing managers are no longer regular blonde users so, although we have them currently showing in the league, there's no guarantee that they are available participants for the league.  Ultimately, I don't think the size of the league would prove to be an issue this season, but I'm currently unsure how many of the current list would actively be participating in the draft tonight.

It's disappointing to do this, given that we had 7 good seasons behind us, but I've reached a point where the hassle of the set up process is no longer outweighed by the fun of participating.  Thanks to everyone who took part over that time, as it genuinely has been a great deal of fun, and I'm immensely proud of having introduced quite a few people to the game via these leagues.  Going forward, I'll concentrate on maintaining the DLeague, which is unaffected by this decision.

I tried to leave it as late as possible before announcing this, so apologies for the short-notice, but feel free to find alternative plans for this evening.

That is a shame Curtis but if its become a pain then best thing is to just let it go bud.

tbh it is quite embarrassing that people still haven't had the courtesy to pay for last years league. Just out of interest without naming and shaming on here yet how much did you end up out of pocket on last seasons league?

a shame but understand

not paying for last year is completely unacceptable, given the significant amount of time you have taken to admin these to be out of pocket is a kick in the teeth

FWIW i was expecting 10 or so of the 14 to play tonight and i would have been there for the draft. prefer it smaller than 14 as previously said

hopefully enough of the 14 come on to see your post and we can see if we could do it with a different commissioner to take some of the strain off

I would still play in whatever format but I can't even organise myself properly from day to day let alone organise this. If enough still want to play and someone can spare the time to run that would be great.

On the payment front, I'm only down two entry fees overall, so only £60 in total (and thankfully I won something last season, so in effect it just means a short-payment in my prize money).  I suspect both managers are unaware of this, so it's an oversight (or it could be that I've missed an incoming payment), and I was very lax in chasing payments for the redraft last year.  I suspect both will pay in due course, once I've got in touch, but having only 3 confirmed fees paid for this season makes it too great a risk to let tonight run and essentially have the same issue snowballing.

For clarity, I have no doubts about anyone's integrity in this league.  The concern is more that I keep someone such as Nakor, who isn't a regular blonde poster these days, in the draft list on the assumption that he's playing again only to realise post-draft that he wasn't aware of it, and has ultimately been auto-drafted a terrible roster for which we then expect him to pay for after the event.  Also, just to confirm that I've used him as the example above as someone that I can't be sure picks up blonde PM's on a regular basis, but that he's fully paid up on last season's fees, so please don't jump to any conclusions in that regard.

I'll still play in a league, if one gets running.  If it's any help to you Iron, I can set you up as a Commish in the current league, which might save some of the admin hassle of having to have people sign up again.  It might make things a little easier.

I'll amend the draft time in the league to Wednesday, just in case.
