GUKPT Luton – Next Leg Next Week!

Following the trio of Summer Series festivals, the GUKPT Main Tour returns to the G Casino Luton for a full schedule of side events - 6 in total - surrounding Leg 4’s £1,000 Main Event running from the 19th-21st August.

The Main Event will feature a split Day 1, with the first flight starting at 12pm on Friday the 19th, and the second starting at 6pm.  Both feature a 15,000 stack and one-hour clock.

Friday 19th August: £1,000 + £70 NL Hold'em Main Event Day 1a - 12pm (3 days)
Friday 19th August: £1,000 + £70 NL Hold'em Main Event Day 1b - 6pm (3 days)

Side Event Schedule:

14th August     £30 + £5 NL Hold'em Rebuy 10 Seat Gtd Super Satellite to Main Event     7.30pm  1 day
15th August     £100 + £10 £NL Hold'em Freezeout        7.30pm  1 day
16th August     £500 + £30 NL Hold'em Freezeout 7.30pm  2 days
17th August     £250 + £15 Omaha D/C Freezeout  6.00pm  1 day
17th August     £150 + £15 NL Hold'em Freezeout Super Satellite to Main Event   8.30pm  1 day
18th August     £200 + £20 NL Hold'em 6 Max Freezeout   7.30pm  1 day
18th August     £50 + £5 NL Hold'em Super Satellite to Main Event 1 x Rebuy or Add on   9.00pm  1 day
20th August     £250 + £25 NL Hold'em Freezeout Re-entry        6.00pm  2 days
21st August     £100 + £10 NL Hold'em Bounty Booster Tournament 5.00pm  1 day

Play will recommence at 2pm on the second day of two-day tournaments.

In 2010, the Luton leg of the GUKPT attracted 229 players for the Main Event.   It was won by Neil Channing who took £64,050 from the £229,000 prize pool as well as his first GUKPT title; throughout the GUKPT’s history Luton has always proved one of the most popular stops nationwide and interest suggests this year will be no exception.

For those who have yet to secure their seats on http://www.grosvenorcasinos.com/ or in live satellites, there are 10 seats guaranteed in the £30 Super Satellite this Sunday evening at the G Casino itself.  Following that are two more during the week – one freezeout and one single-rebuy – to suit a range of bankrolls.

Further details of structure and stacks for all events at GUKPT Leg 4: Luton can be found on http://www.gukpt.com.

Relaxed the rules last year for the GUKPT main JP, when some skandies turned up in flip-flops, also, when the pub league finals are on, they let them wear hoodies. Take a selection of clothing ftw. glglglglgl

Jeans are fine, Tom, as are collarless shirts. Just standard "casual" really. Best not to wear trainers though, that might be a step too far. Cambridge brogues are fine.

Good luck tonight!
