If you are that worried then look down at cards excitedly say "Im all in too" and turn your hand over as you put all your chips in, look at the dealer in confusion when they ask why u turned your hand over, say "I thought he moved all in and he covers me" , they might let off, worst case scenario u get 1 lap penalty which is unlikely but still adds to your chip stack with the 20% pick up hand before. Easy game

If I am folding Aces and there are 3 stacks with no more than 5 Big Blinds its pretty safe to say that I am not risking my huge stack/locked up seat

dnt get me wrong I understand the theory behind the fold. was just a bad spot to do it.
there is a huge difference between CALLING his jam (had he jammed and you now have to call off it would be an entirely different discussion) and you being able to jam

i'll get my reel & rod
its not often a thread winds me up, but i found this one pathetic, some one screaming look at me i folded AA preflop i must be a genius......................wrong,it possibly the worst fold i have ever heard about, he by far had a seat locked up, shorties can v.easily double up and double again. there no way mr JJ is calling a shove by the only person who can damage him...............folding face up.....lolololololololololol........the icing on the fishcake

Serious question.
Why did you even bother looking at your cards?

This was a post not for reasons look at me I folded Aces - Not really that type of person, normally just get on with things, not looking for attention etc
Quiet New to Poker, normally only playing the £40 at Luton so obviusly getting a seat into the main event would (and was) a big deal for me (truly was the WPIL in that event)
The 3 short stacks at the table were playing very tight and the blinds were going eating away at them quickly, so even if one of them Doubled and Doubled up, I was confident of the seat and in all honestly I felt I had the seat and as I said the seat was a big deal for me.
Thanks for all the feedback but given the same circumstances I would probably play it the same way but probably would not show as that was not needed to be done and was out of character for me!

sorry i may of been a tad harsh, but u NEVER had the seat locked at that point, it is very possible all the short stacks can get back into it and next time u might well not get a seat, the fold was truly awful.
like evilpie says....why even bother looking at your cards, and showing just made u look a tit (sorry, but true)
there are situations when folding AA preflop is maybe the right thing to do, this occasion definitely wasn't one of them, its as simple a shove as you will ever see.
gl in the event

Probably no point posting on PHA then in the future. Lots of good players and celtic have given you really good advice about this hand and how to change your thinking and approach this scenario differently but you just wanted to ignore everyone?
I don't get it.
