An honest reliable qualified:

Gas Safe plumber

IEE/NICBIC Sparky

A Damp & Timber expert from the Property Care Association

If so could you please pm me asap please!

Why - I have put an offer in on a property which was accepted however the surveyor has found some things which need doing and has undervalued the property & I really need some ideas VERY quickly!

Ask the agent to give you a list of people, as an agent myself if these things show up on a survey i have a list of people of can give quotes for work and wont rip you off or quote high so the vendor pulls out and i personally dont earn a penny from them but i know they are trustworthy.

Has the property been down valued? If so have you told the agent as at least they can warn the vendor that there is a strong likelyhood you shall be looking to renegotiate the price.

Most of the things you need you should be able to get free quotations done.
Any more info required pls feel free to pm me

Thank you for the reply, it's appreciated however yes you were right the surveyor down valued, I tried to renegotiate, even let the estate agent and the sellers have a copy of the 43 page report but they refused to negotiate and I decided this afternoon after much thought to pull out. Gutted & heartbroken. It's gory and complicated but to save the forum from groaning I've explained in a pm!

Cheers, Shaz

Noooooooooooo!!!!

I'm so very sorry to hear that Princess Sad

Truly gutted for you.

I can't believe they wouldn't negotiate! Are they hoping for a buyer who won't be getting a survey done? Idiots!

Lol at Ding and Bongo, one day I will get back to my diary and this will make a post or two!

As my landlords changed their mind on renewing my tenancy where I am for another year and decided to sell it would have been a rushed decision and as they say repent at leisure so.......

The long and short of it is I have to be out of here soon so a poker buddy is letting me stay there along all my stuff LOL for a while until I find something, what a star he is I can tell you.

I'm hoping it will give me a bit of breathing space so I don't have to rush into the next one (the fees are a killer and eat into the budget a bit) but since my buddy is LFC and I'm MU (both born and bred) I'm going to keep looking as it's going to be an interesting situation especially as I have a habit of failing badly at picking up the local lingo after a drink!

It's things like this and holidays that can ruin a friendship - I hope not!
