gg Dolphins. Flynn has gone to Seattle.

abs brill news that for me, Miami have really made a pigs ear of attracting a new qb up to now.

David Garrard ftw

Maybe Tim Couch or Cade McNown will make a comeback.

Tannehill has mixed reviews, but will go top 10 as there is such a scarcity of potential 10 year starter qbs to draft. Alex smith is only the answer to if you run a v conservative offence. Doing that isn't a route to victory when you have to beat the pats to the division

ok cheers, prob makes Manning to 49ers and Smith to Miami a more likely chain of events than mind games now.

40 days to go until the draft

The professional NFT writers do well to get 24 of the 32 names correct, and 10 of the 32 to the correct team

I once got 11, but not since! I don't try and forecast trades either.

For a bit of fun, a mock draft which I can update post Manning and other signings etc

NFL Comparison - A comparison in style of mplay and characteristics

1. Colts. Andrew Luck QB Stanford

Done Deal

NFL Comparison to Luck: Tom Brady

2. Redskins Robert Griffin QB Baylor

Done deal

NFL Comparison: Vick's running and Newton's arm

3. Vikings Matt Kalil OT USC

Good fit of a team that needs OL help with the best player at Left tackle in the draft

NFL Comparison Jake Long/Joe Thomas

4 Browns Trent Richardson RB Alabama

This is where it gets interesting. Richardson said to be the best back coming out since Peterson. Browns lost Hillis, need to have a franchise back up in the AFC North/bad weather

NFL Comparison Arian Foster

5 Tampa Bay Morris Claiborne CB LSU

Ronde Barber is about 62, and they face Newton/Brees and Ryan flinging it miles six times a year. Need a shut down corner

NFL Comparison  Darrelle Revis

6 Rams  Justin Blackmon WR Ok State

Bradford has to throw to someone decent. This guy catches them from anywhere. Bit slow, but hands like buckets

NFL Comparison Anquan Boldin when at Arizona

7 Jags Michael Floyd WR Notre Dame

Desperately need WR help for a terrible offence apart from MJD

NFL Comparison Brandon Marshall, only with a brain

8 Dolphins Ryan Tannehill QB Texas A and M

Pending the rest of free agency, the Dolphins need a QB. He is best of the rest.

NFL Comparison someone like Matt hasselbeck

9 Panthers Dontari Poe, NT Memphis

Has to be defence. Concede less points, knowing Newton is going to help you scores a load= win more games. This guy is enormous, and quick

NFL Comparison Haloti Ngata

10 Buffalo  Riley Reiff, OT, Iowa

Would have been a pass rusher except for the mega bucks doled out to Mario Williams.

NFL Comparison Michael Oher

11 Kansas City David DeCastro OG Stanford

Kansas City has to address the interior of its offensive line. DeCastro said to have the potential to be the best guard in the NFL over the next decade.

NFL Comparison Carl Nicks

12 Seattle Seahawks  Melvin Ingram, DE, South Carolina

The Seahawks really struggled to get to the quarterback this past year because Raheem Brock no longer provided any sort of pass rush from the left end position.

NFL Comparison Dwight Freeney

13 Arizona Cardinals Jonathan Martin, OT, Stanford

The offensive tackle position is a mess, just canned their starting LT from last season

NFL Comparison Tyron Smith

14 Cowboys  Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois

Ware apart, they need to get better pressure in the D up front. Got to stop Eli, Vick and Now Griffin in six games a year.

NFL Comparison Aldon Smith

15 Eagles Luke Kuechly ILB Boston College

Should be a LB or DT here, knowing how Reid likes a lot of depth up front on defence. LB was a weakness all last year.

NFL Comparison Patrick Willis

16 Jets Quinton Coples OLB/DE

Upgrade the pass rush, too high to pick any WR here

NFL Comparison Tamba Hali

17 Bengals Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama

One corner is 32, the other Leon Hall won't be ready for the start of next season

NFL Comparison Jonathan Joseph

18 Chargers Courtney Upshaw, DE/OLB, Alabama

Only one player had more than 4 sacks last year

NFL Comparison Robert Mathis

19 Chicago Bears: Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech

Desperately need a top target for Cutler

NFL Comparison Poor man's Calvin Johnson, from same college too

20 Tennessee Titans Cordy Glenn G Georgia

Chris Johnson needs better blockers

NFL Comparison Davin Joseph

21 Bengals Lamar Miller RB Miami

Cedric Benson is 76

NFL Comparison Poor man's Ray Rice

22 Cleveland Browns: Kendall Wright, WR Baylor

Another weapon, finally they might score some points

NFL Comparison Santana Moss

23 Detroit Lions: Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama

Need a cb badly. this guy is more talented than this spot, but is a knucklehead.

NFL Comparison   Pac-Man Jones, both in terms of talent and risk

24 Pittsburgh Steelers: Dont'a Hightower, ILB, Alabama

Pittsburgh just cut James Farrior.  Hightower seems like he was made to play for the Steelers. Nasty, hard, bluecollar player

NFL Comparison Brian Urlacher, hopefully

25 Broncos. Devon Still DT, Penn State

Much depends on Manning/Tebow, because Elway does not want Tebow and may take a flier on a QB here....if not, Fox drafts defence

NFL Comparison Richard Seymour

26 Houston Texans: Nick Perry, DE/OLB, USC

replaces Mario Williams

NFL Comparison

27 Patriots Fletcher Cox DT Missisipi State

to groom to take over from Vince Wilfork

NFL Comparison Vince Wilfork

28 Packers Peter Konz C Wisconsin

Just lost Scott Wells to the Rams, typical meat and two veg pick for the Packers

NFL Comparison Scott Wells

29 Ravens Andre Branch OLB/DE Clemson

versatile olb pass rusher to complement Terrell Suggs

NFL Comparison John Abraham

30 49ers Coby Fleener TE Stanford

Already got a terrific D, add Offensive weapons for the QB

NFL Comparison Jason Witten

31 Patriots Mark Barron S Alabama

V weak at this position, struggled at the back all last year

NFL Comparison  Nick Collins

32 Giants Zach Brown OLB

Can never have enough Linebackers, its won them two superbowls...

NFL Comparison Cameron Wake
