Cheers people!

Well the first day shows i'm getting old/severly unfit/lazy-or all 3! Last option has always been a problem. Smiley

Got to vegas after a decent flight about 2pm and was checking into the ventian around 3, by 4ish i wanted to sleep.

However on every previous trip (about 7), i've always stayed up through the day to get on american time and then after a fewwwwwwwww beers i've got to bed in the wee hours b4 waking up with secs to spare for the next days comp.

This time though I decided i'd play it more easy and unpack/watch tv/grab a catnap b4 checking out the poker room and perhaps a beer or 2 b4 crashing reas early.

Yesterday this wimp did all of the above bar the casino/beer/reas early bit-more like i was going for the world record sleepathon.

I guess waking up at 7am without a hangover and feeling raring to go should be considered a good thing-certainly is for this stake- i'm just concerned about my light-weightness!

Hope today goes well and i'll def update on how my first day's poker went, day 1b here we come, should be a large prize pool in this one.

Laters peeps.

Just busted Event 1 day 1b, feel a little tilted by exit tbh.

My first table was full of jolly souls and just one decent player, who unforts had position and 5b me early when i was trying to stamp some kinda authority on the table with 108o.

Early on was tricky as stations stationed and the cards wldnt oblige, i rocked up but still had done half my stack by the end of level 2-had a few cooler pots.

Luckily the poker gods then coolered some poor guy when my kings held v his ladies aip and we were back where we'd started.

The limp calling table fish kept donating to all but me however and when the table broke at 2-400 i wasn't devestated.

Moved to my right was the decent player which at least allowed position, my 35bbs (12k) were no match for his 200 altho i was pretty sure we'd clash and i'd get it in ok.

That didn't happen as b4 i knew it this table was also broke and i was moved to fish heaven.

The only problem is now with blinds at 3-600 i only had a decent 3bet (20bbs) stack. But once i'd doubled up more or less instantly with qq v 88 i felt good, boy was this a weak table.

Flopping btm set soon after this 4 ways in an ov limped pot on the button looked juicy but although i got 2 callers on the 267 flop the king turn scared off my customers from future action.

This is when a situation occured.

I had bet/thrown in chips on the turn aggressively for half the pot like i was trying to rep a turned king-i thought these cods were likely to level themselves in2 thinking i was bluffing-strong is weak etc and they were also the types to make bad peels with one of the two straight draws.

Unforts the table started a debate on why i'd thrown my chips in so aggro, why give the dealer extra work etc..?

Even when i basically told the main whinger to desist from the convo-after both had folded (he was an absolute cod of all cods) it still persisted.

Ok so headphones on dom and adjust to these idiotic yanks please-disclaimer-i don't mean all americans are idiots just these few.

Few hands l8r folded round to me on the button with q9o and about 40x i min rsd the cod's big blind-sim stack. He peeled as he usually did.

The flop came a75 with two hearts and my black cards missed so i bet anyway. Cod check calls.

Turn was the and it went check check-i guess i could bet but i doubt it ever works v him .

I didn't really think he had a flush but was worried by ace rags and random 5x 7x hands that wouldn't be folding the turn, i'd need to 3 barrell, better spots ftw.

River comes a Two Diamonds and he donks large, i obv fold and he shows 6 high with the 64o, nice peel sir.

His buddys were almost high fiving him while i just laughed inside-was nice line info for l8r i thought.

So we go a round almost and i'm down to 30x and the blinds are about to go 4-800 which will put me back on that 3b stack of 20 bigs.

Folded to me in the cut off and i min my 8's, button fishy peels and mr cod of all cods in the small throws in two 5k chips-basically an all in as i have only 18k.

I jam due to the dynamic and that it really looks AX and mr fishy button prolly has some of his outs, nope button folds 88 face up-which really annoyed me as the small blind hadn't actually called yet, even tho obv he has to with atc.

Cod has the 10's and proudly exclaims- 'yeah i knew you're gonna do that with whatever you see' and it's high 5 time again from the fish factory.

Such an lol comment and indicative of his tardy nature.

Obv i brick and i depart to the sight of patting on backs and general idiotic behaviour.

Welcome to las vegas dom, should be a fun one! Smiley

Btw obv due to the non re entry-the balance is already at $350+ mark up so around $403 in the kitty.

Highly tempted to play tmrw's $350 as it should be saturdayyyy juicy, i'm sure i can finish off the final on sunday in time for any halloween party in the evening.

Presume this is ok with every1 as it's highly unlikey i will have to use all 14 remaining re-entries and there's always a chance i may just take one or two other $350 comps out of the schedule to give myself a break in the middle of the grind. I think it's best to play when i'm hungry and rest when i'm tired. Just for the paperwork if i play and re-enter i'll substitute one mid november $350 out of the schedule until the balance can afford to pay for the potential $700/$806 with mark up cost. If i do play with just the one bullet i'll just take the balance down to $0 from it's current $403-obv adding on the first prize i'll take down. Smiley One objector to this might be lil dave who said i must keep the 30th free from the schedule for the halloween party-but like i say i'm certain the final will be done early enough on the sunday from prev experience of deepstack finals.

However if it's a big problem for me to play i'll just go and play a one dayer elsewhere tmrw- not on stake's money obv-i'm mega hungry for tournament poker right now-it's so insanely weaker than online-and i guess that's one problem with getting in 88 for 30bbs pre, but even tards can spazz and squeeze right?? And 60+bbs on that table wlda been heaven.

I really like the re entry option as ppl play way looser than usual so i won't be doing much 4b spazzing again with 108o early, shame it's only valid for 3 levels but def a +ev option.

Sorry 4 the bad start peeps, honestly i wasn't on tilt, wldnt say i played 10/10 today but a 7 or an 8 wld be a decent assesment.

No objections from me Dom.

As I "write off" all stakes as soon as I make the investment, I almost feel like I'm $40 ahead already!

Nice steady start, forget the high-fiving schmucks, plenty of time to atone & get some run good.

hey dom - vul

if i can pass on a bit of experience from my staking thread - unless there is a signif deviation from the stake /plan - just tell people what you are doing and do it. Its difficult with so many people

pretty sure most people are in it for binkage, so if there is nothing too far from what you have suggested itll be fine

GLGL with the games - got a good feeling about this thread

Thanks tikay, tbh i'm just in a silly grumpy mood today, nothing seemed to go right bar those two double ups and i'm a bad loser!

Run good is def on the way imo. Smiley

Cheers guy, agree with what yr saying just like to keep things all above board and def don't think ppl wld object to streamlining variance and playing while hungry.

Was prob more rhetorical than anything, although the halloween party issue might cause a problem!

That, 100%. Don't ask, there's a degree of trust both sides, just do what you feel is right.

And DONT apologise every time you fail to cash, either.

yeah Dom, we're going out on the 31st so this plan is ok with me. ronnie rutter rutts into town on sunday along with a few normal mates of mine so we're all prolly gonna go for dinner - at Jaleo - tapas restaurant at the top of the cosmopolitan, initially planned for 8.30pm but there is a high roller in town that wants to run 50/100 plo/nlhe so I might just find myself otherwise occupied on sunday as well Tongue

r.e changing stuff just do whatever I assume anything you do will be with the intention of making money and not to lose it so I'm down with whatever.
