To be honest, I would have been delighted for him to win, even if I did have to pay out £400.
Had he reached the final table, I would have been rooting for him. (From my hotel room, fast asleep, but rooting for him on all the same)

man at 2000-1 on a 114 man field i would have even thought of backing tikay then coming to my senses put my money in pocket till i was offered 5000-1
