Awful. Hope some serious scrutiny of the Casino CCTV takes place. These thugs rarely have much by way of a brain, and it's odds on at least one of them were clocking what was what inside the card room, and car park.
Very relieved to hear nobody hurt.

Yeah, I think there's a decent chance the CCTV could reveal something super obvious

Seriously Karl? Blimey, it is better to stay in and play on your favourite iPoker skin after all.
Was that you that busted me then Dewi?, (sorry was being thick), I think I lost four hands all to you.
I might just love you, Neil, never miss an opening.
Seems I have competition for "spam person of the year" at the European Poker Awards.
Hope the DTD weekend thingie goes well, as I'm sure it will. The recent Sky Poker weekend held there certainly did.
1-1.

apparently the police are already on it: The four guys were watching the live final in the casino, and had a car parked on the tram lines outside, when Ben left they followed him and his mates to his hotel.
Luckily Ben's mum had taken his winnings and the muggers took Ben's mate's bag. Would have been pretty com when they opened it to find just his dirty clothes from the week in there!
No one was hurt luckily but it could easily have been a different story.
Can't see it being too hard to catch the guys as the would have to be members to have been in the casino, and CCTV will be able to see when they left etc.
Definitely a reminder to everyone to watch their backs, and each other's backs, in scenarios like this.

Thanks for the info, Mother.
Really hope this crew soon get picked up, should be easy enough if they were inside, and the CCTV was working. Presumably, (attempted) armed robbery, or whatever it's called, and carrying a knife with intent, would carry a high tariff. Hope so, anyway.

Wow well done Bens Mum.
What a horrible end to an amazing weekend for him, could've been so much worse though. What a relief no-one was hurt.
Hope Ben'll stump up for some new boxers for his mate now!

I think you may have forgotten a competitor or two.
However, this isn't about spam, we all want to wish Ben Jackson, who plays predominantly on Poker Encore, who's father owns Poker Encore our congratulations for winning this event.
Ben said, 'I'm obviously dissappointed with this result but I'll keep plugging away on Poker Encore until the next GUKPT where hopefully I can produce an Encore of results'.

Great performance Ben.
I really hope the police take the investigation of that incident after seriously - it's most definitely linked to someone watching from inside the casino.

Not pleasant at all, and glad no one was hurt. Also glad the money was safe and that the police have a head start on the arseholes. Hope they have the necessary evidence on them and they get a good few years at her Majesty's pleasure.

Where possible people should always take cheques for big sums or leave monies on deposit at the casino when coming back the following day etc

yeh but they might kill you to find the cheque, wheras if u got 2 bags they might settle for it and gtfo
Yeah heard cheques can fetch a big price in the secondary market...
Trigg's saying if you can hand over a bit of cash, they might accept and leg it, but if you can't, they might persist/not believe, and it could end up worse
yeh i was saying this. Can't get much past us sharp wednesday fans
