yeah i just folded his hand... purely for your entertainment, i got it in vs 22 and the guy flopped a set, wouldve held vs AK!
Interesting that if AK had opened, 22 might not have been in the hand.  Good for your mate, not so good for you.

i don't know, still pretty good for you...

I think that once you realise you're on the same table, you should stop looking at his laptop and just play your own so his hands (inc. the A-K) just time out.

In general, I'm pretty sure that even playing one hand that isn't yours whilst your mate is in the loo is against the rules, so I might just let him time out whether we're at the same table or not.

this really

a weird situation that you wouldn't have thought about beforehand but tbh in future he should sit out at any table that you're both on before leaving

as it is what's happened is collusion even though neither of you intended it to be. it's no different from you shouting across the room to him that you've got KK and him folding AK because of that

ya that's why I stack off as you both would if playing. sitting out/timing out/ raise folding is all just clearly collusion.

Perfect opportunity to take the piss whilst he takes a piss imo.

You: (shouting) "You've got AKs, what would you like me to do?"
Flatmate: "Make it 2.1x"
You: "You've been 3bet mate"
Flatmate: "Who by?"
You: "Me. I'd hurry if I were you, clock's ticking".

If he fails to make it back in time, you win and dont feel bad.

Love this,.

Brilliant!

Quality.

Don't blame you Andy. In quick time in a situation that's not happened before I probably woulda done the same thing.

Least we know next time.

So is this situation another one of those were we all know it's cheating/collusion or w/e and yet because it's online and people can't see us lets just pretend there are no rules?

If we're going to cheat why not raise 99 % of utg's stack and have him fold to our jam so we cant be sucked out on?

Bit different mate.

You can't take over for a mate live if he pops to the loo. Andy was just doin a quick favour and whilst it isn't allowed, I don't know many people who would think that's the slightest bit wrong tbh.

Andy shoulda realised there was a potentially awkward situation if they were on the same table but I personally woulda been thinking, 'I might look a real dick if I stack my mate here' and prob done the same.

WHAT? bit different to what? the rules and regulations are clear just because it's harder to enforce doesn't mean you're meant to break them?!

So you think that although it's against the rules its fine to do because ....?
because you're a cheater? because you don't care? because you're ignorant?

If we're happy to cheat the field why should we then make the best decision for our friend? we're costing ourself by him not getting it in when he would never normally fold.

At what point do we not fold his hand utg?
How much do we change stuff if we back him?

And what level of cheating do people actually condone ?

I just think that the first time this happens its an honest mistake.

If it happened again after this it would be out of line.

Calm down dear.

They are fair questions, everyone in this thread seems to just be advocating collusion whilst clearly knowing it's collusion. Is anyone not scummy?

But surely timing out is the only thing thats not collusion, cos that is what would happen if i didn't play his tables
