You are a serial identity abuser Rod... Cheesy

But I admit it (and anyone who thought I was the delightful Charmaine must have been a muppet  Cheesy )

I left for home at 3:45am Mrs B, so I wouldn't have been there anyway.

I'm sure we'll catch up soon.  And apologies for not replying to your text, I found the Bollinger is my only excuse!  lol

Having recovered from the disappointment of 2nd place in Tighty's nightmare of a quiz (worse than my Uni finals, some of the questions) I just wanted to say what a fantastic time we had.  Great to meet so many of you - some for the first time, others again.  To those I missed, apologies - it wasn't intentional!

Special thanks to Charmaine and Mrs Red for convincing Sophie she wasn't the only one bricking it!  Looks like you all had a good time and acquitted yourselves well in the comp.  Thanks too to those at Sophie's tables for proving to her that she wouldn't piss you all off and get shouted at.  From what I've heard Mr Nowab seems to have been the most vociferous of you (in an entirely pleasant way, I should add) but then again that's nothing new!

Thanks to your efforts, it now seems entirely feasible that she will one day play again (next stop Cheeseypoker!)

Top weekend, we both had a great time.  Llooking forward to the next one, whenever it may be!

We had two no-shows on our team (Blondie and The Baron) so Sophie joined us in our efforts to answer questions without abusing Tighty too much for setting them!

Just adding to the list of thanks to all that put all the hard work in to organising the blonde bash.
it was great fun.(apart from dumping a load of cash to the yokels playing omaha.)

Thanks again.

Is there 2 Sophie's?

I guess so - blame Tightend for the confusion as he wrote 'Sophie' on her name badge instead of Mrs Sheriff!

Apologies. Been hit hard with flu today. Did send Dave a text explaining and apologising but I didn't realise he didn't make it either.

Well done on 2nd! Did you beat Snoopy?

Hi everyone-

Just got through reading the thankses on the end of the piccies on the end of the reports having finally got back in front of a computer and though they may get lost in the sea of congratulations, I'd like to add mine - the organisation of this event was fantastic, from the excellent dealers and staff at the Broadway (easily one of the nicest venues I've attended) to the spirit in which people threw themselves into all the competitive goodies.

I'd especially like to thank you all for being so nice to my Mum, as she talked about it all the way back on the train (taking her home was my excuse for not dragging down the score of one of your quiz teams) and believe me, she knows how to complain if things don't meet her standards Smiley

I'm sorry I only got a brief chat with some of the people I've rushed around festivals after (or for) but such is the nature of a place where there's so much poker to be played... and beer to be had.  And thanks for the reporting - controlled chaos is what it's usually like... Thanks finally to TightEnd for his tireless organising and all the others who made it all run smoothly.

My mum and I will be attending any further such events and I've convinced her that her screen name isn't that stupid after all.
