Superb selection, that Thread was the greatest.

Geo has really been a "sleeper" on here, gradually gaining authority.

He's never been an iota of trouble to us, though he's not afraid to pull me up when I misjudge something, as I often do. A "yes man"? I don't think so, & his proud boast that he could never get a LSGC is proof indeed, he can readily stick it in the eye of authority when so minded.

And this?

He told me that he had spent the weekend, when not at the bash, in a bivouac in the shrubbery outside

Awesome.

He truly is one of a kind.

I was in Edinburgh not so long ago, & had hoped to hook up with Geo, who had freely offered his time to show me around. Sadly, I had some probs, & it never happened. Next time, it will, I hope, & the drinks will be on me.

Very well done Geo. I doubt a single member here could have done that coast to coast walk.

Proper bloke, & a privilege to know him.

blonde causes me some headaches from time to time, & I often wish I was not involved. Blokes like Geo make it all worthwhile.

Geo is the man. he's Omniscient and Omnipotent.


When Geo spent the night is the shrubbery, I realised immediately that saving money wasn't the sole reason. It's wonderful to spend a little time away from the so called 'home comforts'. Geo enjoys dusting off his old skills and getting back to nature.

He's an adventurer at heart. One of these days I'm going to hang on to his coat tails and share one with him.

First time I met geo I didn't have a clue who he was. I was talking to someone alongside him and he just gave me a scowl and said 'you greekstein?'. Tell him yep and wait to see how I've upset him online but he was yanking my chain. Bastard.
