I would like to think of it as "drunken observation" lol

I think there were quite a few of those going round as the night wore on, there weren't too many of us sober 'uns by the end of the night!! I cant imagine how y'all were looking once everyone went back to the hotel and continued the party Smiley

There's always one... and this time it was me. Unfortuantely, I didn't feel well when I arrived and drinking non-alcoholic drinks soon made that worse! However, it was a pleasure to share my table with potbuilder, franzferdinandorsummatwhoidonatedmychipsto, some bloke with blonde hair called Bernie Smithers or something, big arno, the brief, pete tong (or something like that), sven, KezZA the mad re-raiser and the gentleman and supplier of good advice that is Bag End. I'll gloss over my play, suffice to say I donated to Franz Ferdinand's coffers when I failed to notice he was still in a hand from UTG and then was unlucky enough to be outdrawn on the deal a few hands later when his KK jammily held up against my 99.

Nice to put a few faces to names and say hello again to some I knew before even if I did end up crashing by 1am with a bad headache.  At least those Marriot beds were nice and soft - altho' travelling to Brum for a decent night's sleep was pretty much the antithesis of my original plan! Hope to be more sociable next time!!! Glad everyone else has had such a fantastic time and Jen does look bigger in real life...until she's sitting behind the world's largest mug of tea at new street station.

Big thanks to all the organisers and all those who have taken the time to make Blonde such a pleasant place to post and contributed to its first twelve months. I hope you celebrate many more birthdays.

Finally, while I'm not a fan of playing poker in casinos I'd like to say the broadway is a very nice venue and the staff were helpful too. See you around.

Anyway, late for cubs (ask Heid) gotta run.

Immense thanks post number 3546.

Having never been to the Broadway before, I have to say I was astounded with the place. Fantastically well run, with great food and very comfy sofas, and that was before you even get to the poker area at the far end of the room. Great staff and brilliant dealers (particularly the enchanting Stacey) made for a fantastic weekend.

The poker was fun, particularly the SNGs and as for AdamM, I'm amazed that he managed to isolate just one of my tells from the Rainman-esque cavalcade of tics, twitches and vocal intonations which normally ensue when I'm playing.

As ever, too many people to mention by name, but I must highlight the Scottish national drinking team, who graciously decided to hold one of their pre-Commonwealth Games training sessions at the Broadway on Saturday. Teacake, Tank et al - you'll win gold in Melbourne for sure!

No jumper Robert very dissapointing.

Good to meet you nakor, sorry about the jumper, I did go to the car to get it for Sunday evening, found it had a flat battery, the car not the jumper, so lost the mood.

Me and At it set off from Leeds and headed to the marriott at lunch time to find Mr Ironside with a bottle of becks, soon followed by Robert HM, MalcomM, Colchester Kiv, Heid, Tightend and (after a great set up by ironside to get the receptionist to ask him for his autograph) that bloke off the tele, Tikay!

Rooky9, good to meet you having already met your partner, a lovely couple, nice hair as well. tikay's face as he came into the bar with that big chuffed grin, "I have just been asked for my autograph"

Much fun!! Me and MrsSplash had a great time... especially the psycho cash game!     U having bad dreams about 55 still M3 ??

Also good to meet you and Mrs Splash. I really wanted to see you meet Jamier-host for the first time, just to watch you discuss the wise move of trying to challange 88 with a measly AA.

What a lovely, good natured game of poker.  Nice to meet many of you, especially Snoopy, Tightend and Robert.

Well done to Bluewolf and the team for putting on a smooth running event.  PLEASE put on a regular freezeout tournament for the Broadway punters.

I arrived back home with Exorcism at 5.30am.  Someone told me I was the highest blondeite in 5th?  What an honour!

Mr Moves, well done on that placing. The poker Gods were having a laugh by giving me those wonderful 10 10 in the big blind and you KK UTG, so that was me out in 19th (a placing I am not displeased with).

Like everyone else we had a great time, both meeting up with familiar faces and finaly getting to grope all the other Blondes.I have got a few pctures that I will eventually get round to posting. Probably the best being Robert HM looking rather pleased with his chip stack in the later stages of the £100 game, and an absolutley gorgeous piccy of lovely Mr & Mrs Red. I have to say the Scottish boys are mighty fine guys but my back now hurts from bending  down to pick up my chips  from under the table (they don't wear any under them kilts you know).

One of the highlights of the weekend, meeting Mrs Nun. I am so pleased you saw me well stacked.

What a pleasure to meet everybody again Smiley  A fantastic weekend, gorgeous casino, great quiz
excellent booze up   (hic)  sorry had way to many vodka redbulls Smiley

And not to mentioning the bragging rights as our girlie team won the Heads Up Challenge!!!!
Come on the girls!!

Great result for the Girlies. I never thought the HU Comp was going to prove so popular. I'll post a full list of the results later.

What an absolute fantastic week end, meeting up with old and new faces from Blonde. The atmosphere was brilliant and it was a laugh a minute. Much respect goes to all the people on Blonde who turned out and made it a great week end to remember.
Id like to thank all the staff at Broadway with out their services and enthusiasm would have been impossible to happen, dik9 who unfortunately was unable to attend, but their in spirit (mine being vodka). Tight end and Robert HM (who it was a pleasure to finally meet) and everyone one who a hand in making this special event happen.
What a 1st birthday party Blondepoker had.
Also I must say well done to chilli winning our heads up match (even though I let her win really Cheesy

Whats the odds on there being a Blondepoker cruise in a couple of years at this rate.

Thanks again everyone
