Fine with me. Few times when i have been deep but can't stay awake I have had ppl end it off for me. I know a lot of ppl don't like it, but in real life i think its fine.

Cash games i would probs just sit out. More so as I am likely to come back to no roll.

it's against the rules, why does it matter what your personal ethical stance is?

having someone play your account in cash is just multi accounting.

sit out the tournaments or plan your grinds better?

for cash games its not on as you can sit out and it doesn't cost you any money - therefore there is no need to have someone take over.

For tournaments it wouldn't bother me as long as you werent someone who made a habit of it.

As Andrew has already noted - the Thread title is incorrect - it should read "Rules" not "Ethics". One is a personal choice, the other is mandatory.

And "it was just a few hands while I had a slash" cuts no ice. Where to draw the line?

1 minute for a slash?

3 minutes for a #2?

10 minutes for a smoke?

30 minutes to pop down the off-licence?

90 minutes to watch a game of football?

Soon, the guy who plays 24 Tables for 18 hours per day wants a day off, & pleads "it was only one day".

There are no excuses for it, the Rules are there to protect us, not the Online Room.

Just a bit. Punters - my Table oppos - would not be happy if I let a really good player "sit in" on my account for 5 minutes & who then won a nice few bob.

yes ending a tournament is far worse but why would u need to pop to the shops for 10 mins on the final of a tourney?
