It was changed, I gather, for the GUKPT week last year
A few SP players requested the same this weekend, and it was allowed
All good (as long as reception know....)

It's not gonna raise my blood pressure one way or another, but personally, I wish it had been left "as normal".
I tried explaining it to a kid next door, the "no-trainers thing", & he got a bit heavy with me. "It's only for a day, you must have a proper pair of shoes to your name" I said.
He shot right back, "You don't understand tikay, it's impossible to be comfortable, or walk a lot, unless wearing trainers".
Nope, I don't understand, mate.

I suspect you'd find the same frustration plagues us, too.

So infra dig to wear trainers now I'm grown up.
Trainers together with a romper suit seems to be standard attire for 80% of the population. I don't think they're all athletes though, could all be shot putters I guess.
The dress code
must
be enforced to avoid the G looking like Town Centre, Any Town on Sat afternoon
