lol... you either have a dress code or you don't...whether its right or wrong..can't change it to suit makes it a complete mockery otherwise...

It was changed, I gather, for the GUKPT week last year

A few SP players requested the same this weekend, and it was allowed

All good (as long as reception know....)

It's not gonna raise my blood pressure one way or another, but personally, I wish it had been left "as normal".

I tried explaining it to a kid next door, the "no-trainers thing", & he got a bit heavy with me. "It's only for a day, you must have a proper pair of shoes to your name" I said.

He shot right back, "You don't understand tikay, it's impossible to be comfortable, or walk a lot, unless wearing trainers".

Nope, I don't understand, mate.

yeah its pathetic.... the grief they give people over shoes hood etc... even going so far as to make a specific announcement in the card room saying from now on absolutely no hoodies allowed whatsoever.. then its hello Mr GUKPT , Mr Sky..' oh you'd like us to let people in with hoodies or ur going to tell us to GTFO...yes of course just for you no problem..so when the bloke we let in with a hoodie this week trys to get in with same hoodie next we will hang him from the yardarm..... abs pathetic..have a dress code or don't whatever it is stick to it.

So infra dig to wear trainers now I'm grown up.

Trainers together with a romper suit seems to be standard attire for 80% of the population. I don't think they're all athletes though, could all be shot putters I guess.

The dress code must be enforced to avoid the G looking like Town Centre, Any Town on Sat afternoon
