If we are going to have the above, we have to have this as a complement to it!

i could post loads of athletics ones but i remember this so fondly, can't remember why but there was a load of us watching it in our house, everyone pretty subdued expecting the inevitable USA walkover, by the last 100 metres there was a room full of people jumping up and down shouting so loudly they could probably here us in the stadium.

Athletics is great for 'moments' like that.  So many through the years, such as Ben Johnson v Carl Lewis, Kelly Holmes winning her first (and indeed her second) gold, Zelezny in the javelin, Daley Thompson in the decathlon.  Loads of them.

Was going to post some boxing ones as well.  Was thinking about Leonard v Hagler, or Leonard v Duran II.  Also any of Tyson's early fights, as he was a phenomenon.  I remember getting up in the middle of the night to watch the boxing with my dad, and then the fight being finished before the kettle had boiled for a cuppa.

The Ward v Gatti wars - great, punishing fights.

Naz v Kevin Kelley was an incredible fight for the excitement.  Both fighters flawed in the way they fought, but that's what made it an incredible 4 rounds.

If you've got 15 minutes to spare, worth watching again:

Was trying to find some footage of the England 6 man scrum vs NZ (1990?) but can't.
