There is no way that diet will sound sexy to me Ant, ever.

I'm really glad you've done so well with it but even if all else failed for me, I'd sooner be resigned to being a fatty forever than not eating meat.

It's just so goooooooooooooooood.

The biggest battle I'm going to have is trying to make it sexy

Agreed.

You feel so full from all the grains the lure for meat goes.

You might want to work on this.

Haha for sure, it's going to be an uphill battle, but the results in my personal experience and in many others that followed it means the problem is getting people over the line and getting them to withstand some mild frustration in the opening weeks. As a huge change to a system that a person has spent their whole life building is going to be met with resistance.

But it doesn't take long to get over then you may start feeling better than ever before. Once that period happens this is a solid way of life that will grow in my opinion because it makes you buzz of life that much they will badger their mates to go on a trial and then hopefully it spreads.

I'm really confident that once people trial it they will have their eyes open. Then it is their choice about how to proceed with what they continue to eat but deep down, imo, they may realise the plant based way makes them feel the better than when the processed stuff gets involved, the oils, sugars. And the meat and dairy. So I think it will have a profound effect.

So I'm looking to sell a something that comes with a hard sell initially but I think once you get them trialling you may have a cheerleader to go spread the message further and the goal is to create a domino effect.

I'm pretty flabbergasted no-one has pushed this lifestyle hard and made it mainstream enough that people at least consider it as a "fad" diet. I had to go researching myself to find it and I don't like the inaccessibility. It's not like I'm going to change that, but that is what is fuelling me to humbly help as many people as possible feel the benefits.

I know no one personally, that has done what I did and I only see vids of other people talking about how life changing it was for them etc and it is as if I'm being sold a lie even though I'm living through what they are saying. Mainly because the benefits seem too good to be true. I can't wait to have people up close to me saying they have never felt better and how easy it is and reversing the symptoms of a lot of chronic ailments like high blood pressure, heart disease, gout, rhemotoid arthritis etc.

Actually I have my mother, and she's really happy with it, however she hit a wall with the high blood pressure so had a great reason to push through the early annoying phase. I also had my own health reasons to push through the phase too. But I think with support, anyone can get through that without such a huge motivator. This is for everyone.

I've gone on there. Before I get bashed by anyone fair play if other diets are working for you, I say give this a try if you are constantly suffering with food related stress.

I'm gonna think outside the box with the study on convincing people. Maybe the dark arts?

"Look into my eyes, the eyes, not around the eyes, don't look around the eyes, look into my eyes.........you're under...."

Smiley

Btw Cos, I was the same as you, until I just thought I have had enough of this bullshit and tried this and after years of failure this came easy and is natural. You are precisely the type of guy that's defence I need to break down, and I will get there somehow. I'm not sure how yet. But when I feel as if as soon as you are on board you will grow to love it I have something that is definitely worth pursuing!

If all else fails, I may be direct and threaten you. Will that work? Tongue.

Gonna put a lot of work into this eventually and I hope it has a positive effect on some peeps to make it worthwhile, and appreciative that you guys haven't told me to fuck off about all of this. In return I will maintain the status quo by not mentioning it too often Smiley

Thanks for the input Ant ....
I really don't think I could ever give up meat i don't wanna even try to be honest
I really do appreciate you are trying to help and am really please genuinely that is works for you ...but it's not for me

First few days have gone really well a very close friend of mine is like a fitness fanatic does all the wolf runs etc !
I went circuit training with him last night and I managed the full hour and really enjoyed it !
I ache like mad today but it'll be worth it

The food intake has been reduced and I've stuck to my plan so far.
Eating a normal main meal
Boiled eggs for breakfast
And a protein shake for lunch

My goal is 15 stone as it has been since the three peaks challenge a few years ago !

Ant. Why do you feel the need to convince people to adapt the same way of life as yourself?

You say this isn't a cult but it's doing a bloody good impression if I'm honest......

Matt ....
Or anyone

I convinced  my self in the past as I have a bad back ,(and I really do I struggle with it most days),that I can't really exercise,
Well for the first ten mins last night I was in agony ! But then it eased and although hurt I was ok.

So now I want to do more exercise ......

I don't want to be strong like you guys in the other thread but I do want to more than ever lose the stomach !!!
What exercise is best for this ?

Thanks in advance

Start with fixing your back mate. Unless you have a ridiculous problem that requires complete rest then the way to do that is to stretch and slowly strengthen it.

The reason it started to feel easier last night after ten minutes is most likely because the muscles got warm so everything was just looser. At the end of your session you could've taken advantage of this by having a really good stretch whereas I'm going to hazard a guess you just went and sat down for a bit because you were knackered? If not then you probably got straight in your car and sat with warm muscles and poor posture all the way home.

If you throw yourself in to an abs routine then all you're going to do is make your back worse. All stomach muscles utilise the core and if you've got a weak flabby core then to do stomach exercises you have to engage your back which until your back is sorted will just make you worse.

It's not difficult to achieve what you're after but it takes time and patience. I'd be happy to meet up and sort something out for you. I think I've got the perfect plan but it's too much to write up on here and I need to give you a copy of a DVD as well so easier face to face. I need some work doing on my fence so when you're next available pop over and we'll sort a quote and your gut at the same time  thumbs up

I really appreciate your reply mate :-)
As I was in the army and done a lot of physical exercise I knew the importance of the warm down and  stretching after so I didn't just sit down I cooled down properly !!

Sounds like a plan with the fence and gut in one go :-)
I'll get back to you with s day mate
Thanks again

Ant. Why do you feel the need to convince people to adapt the same way of life as yourself?

You say this isn't a cult but it's doing a bloody good impression if I'm honest......

Because I believe science has proven meat and dairy are bad for you and all processed foods. Put simply if you just look at how everyone in science basically unanimously agrees that trans fats are terrible for you even consumed in midget quantities and they are only present in meat dairy and processed foods.

Cholesterol in meat/dairy linked heavily with heart disease which in itself is linked with stroke and a host of other diseases.

You have the increased methionine in meat and dairy which can fuel cancers.

Also the diet I use has been shown to reverse the symptoms of a host of diseases. That other diets simply can't manage to do. Like heart disease for example. Study Dean Ornish/Caldwell Esselstyn's work.

It also is one of the most manageable ways to maintain weight loss without the worry of gaining it back which generally most people that try diets have dealt with the yoyoing.

Do the research yourself into it if you want Evilpie, generally the human is designed to thrive as herbivores.

Pretty annoying to call it a cult when if you do the research all I am trying to do is open your eyes about it all.

Also why mention cult when I am talking about a diet? Who says following a diet is like a cult?

Smiley

I look at it from an ethical standpoint as well which is easy to do if you are eating this way but not necessary for the diet and say no figure would have me eat one.

A far cry from those lunches we had at that Chinese place in Dulwich eh? Lol.

Right, back on this after being on hols. Didn't put much weight on such, but lost muscle and it's all gone on as lard.

For the next couple of months, just gonna eat well and train. Have taken measurements but tbh only take any notice of the waist, all of the others will be arbitrary anyway with the %changes of fat/muscle. Will weigh every Monday and post here.
