It's obvious from the atmo at the Bash, & the subsequent Posts, that it went, shall we say, pretty well.

It is almost impossible to fault anything, or anyone, for their part in organising or attendiing, everything really was just perfect.

Except.......

With hindsight, I failed to organise the Live Update properly. My excuse was that I sorta thought the site would be empty, & there would not be many peeps online. Wrong!

It's now clear I messed up a bit in this respect, & there were a whole load of peeps online gagging for info.

I did start a Live Update, but I got a bit waylaid, I was trying to do the stuff with the Poker 425 Cameraman, looking after the "partners" who had chosen not to play, but particularly at a rather lively Cash Game, where my arrival - I was dragged there physically - was greeted by "whahoo, the fish has arrived"......with M3Boy and Tighty leading the chorus of approval, with encouragement too - "Christmas has arrived - tikay in OUR Cash Game".....

snoops helped out for a few hours with the Update, then, I THINK, Mr F - I hope I've got the name right - took over, &, well, whoever he was, he was a HERO. He was, to put it mildly, "tired & emotional" but he kept at it, bless him, & I must thank him for his devotion to blonde.

With hindsight, I just got this wrong. What we SHOULD have had was a 2 person Updating Team, Full-Time. One for the words, & one full-time taking & Posting piccies. And I'm so mad with myself for not taking hundreds more piccies, dammit. I do have some, & will Post them later.

We can't put it right now, but we WILL next time. The Mods don't know this yet, but we will do an Update in 2 person "shifts", 1 hour shifts of 2 peeps, from start to finish. The reality is, for my part, I was too busy enjoying myself, & I just overlooked this.

I'm sorry, I really am.

I tried to get as many piccies on as I could folks, but the bloomin camera ran out of batteries. I then borrowed Charmaine's, took some snaps, and then realised that the cord going into the back of the comp had a different socket. Bah.

Anyhow, as I was committed to playing the heads up tournament, I had to rely on a rather drunk Mr F to carry the team. However, even in his intoxicated state, I think it's safe to say that he did a cracking job.

 thumbs up

Don't worry, you are allowed to enjoy yourself too!

I think everyone really appreciates the effort you put into it anyway and it must already have felt like 'work' at times for you.

As much as we were gagging for updates we were all pig sick we could'nt make it, so you saved us the heart ache.

I am looking forward to march/april/may time for the next one.  I will be there no questions. and from the looks of things I need to get Tikay in a cash game, He just might pay my trip to the WSOP

I wouldn't worry about that too much Tikay.

We were mostly interested in the 'Kev on 6th pie', 'Dave getting even louder' stuff rather than the 'xxx just moved in with  on a  three diamonds board' updates.

Tikay, yes it was me attempting to keep people updated with what was going on but as you pointed out to me on Sunday I was "tired and emotional", or as sponny asked me several times "how drunk ARE you??", or as I was telling anybody who walked near me " I'm steaming" (Big thank you to anybody who had the misfortune of me bending there ear, honourable mentions to Nakor, Matt the monkey, and No-flops Homer, cos they're the only ones I can specifically remember bothering)

In fact it was so bad that although I knew I had been updating I could not remember what I had said.

I'm not a massive reader of live updates but Saturday night showed me how difficult to do they really are, more so when you're fingers won't hit the buttons you want.  By the time I gone round to get chip counts and typed them in it was time to do another.  Also remember that this was a Blonde comp so the people at the tables were (I imagine) a lot more helpful than in other comps.  I wasn't happy with the job I was doing as I didn't think I was giving enough of an insight as to what was happening so I think Tikay's suggestions are a good idea.

I have to say that the guys who do the updates for the bigger comps do a fantastic job.  I think I over entusistically lavished praise on some of them at the end of the night.

Anyway those are my thoughts but you can definitely count me in to help at the next one if needed.

Well tikay won £600 in that cash Game, so there must have been some serious fish sat down........

These Fish thought they could outplay me, but this kid don't know when he's beat.

On a flop of  , with 2 of us holding the K (& two representing it....) there was ALWAYS gonna be trouble. My    Two Clubs was ALWAYS gonna be good against Seat Nine's  , he just refused to accept he was in trouble. The turn came    and he STILL thought he was ahead.

On their backs, he STILL thinks it's his pot.

River,  two hearts

Don't mess with this kid.

A cash game between us both would be a bit of a laugh then Tikay, If I dont flop it, I river it.
