Thought it might be appropriate to start a seperate thread to show our appreciation for all the staff at the broadway. It is a top venue, and all the floor staff, bar staff, valets, are all top notch as well.

Big up to the dealer who never tired of explaining the rules of 3 card casino poker to me in my tired/emotional state at 3am, and explaining that playing blind every hand was probably not advisable Smiley

so, if you want to thank the staff, maybe you can add a message to this thread and then blue wolf can print it off for the staff to see.

The best casino/card room in the country.

Thank you dik9.  Bluewolf.  The valets.  That rather tasty dealer called Sandra (I think) who was still smiling at 4.30am

I would like to thank everyone at the Broadway too

Particularly BlueWolf and all the card room staff who were terrific

the girls on reception who had to process about 100 more new memberships in a couple of hours than they would normally get

the Man (sorry, didn't get your name) who added four bottles of champagne for quiz prizes on the Sunday afteroon. Much appreciated

and everyone else too. Fantastic venue, seen nothing like it to compare with it in the UK

They were simply magnificenmt. It's not easy to handle the rowdy mob that invaded The Broadway - there were Scots amongst us - but they entered into the spirit of the evening pefectly.

Every single one of them. Wolfy - sorry, Chris - worked his socks off, & The Broadway must be congratulated on a sinmply great team.

Wolfy himself was just spot-on, 100%, nothing was too much trouble.

Sadly, as we all know, dik9 could not be there, but he DID do most of the groundwork, so HUGE kudos to him.

We bumped into dik9 later - quite by chance, you understand - & thanked him. Our paths will cross again one day, & we will repay him.

Don't know how we will ever repay The Broadway though - everything they did, they did perfectly.

Thanks guys.

Ditto all that.

I am only an hour away and I will definitely be back there soon. Its nearer than Walsall and imo better too. I couldn't play Sunday night, but I will definitely be there in Feb for some decent freezeout tournamnets scheduled. Hope to see some of you there again.

Yes Great staff, not one member of staff did I see that looked like they didn't want to be there. Now that is something. You helped make this weekend a very special and enjoyable one Thankyou.

I said on more than one occasion over the weekend that the Broadway felt like a trendy bar that just happened to have a casino in it, which is a great atmosphere and one unique from anything I've come across anywhere else in the UK.  Definitely a winning formula.

As for the staff, the biggest compliment I can give them is that I hardly noticed they were there, such was the smooth running of everything to do with the tournament.  Credit to all concerned.

It was so much easier playing with dealers that knew what they were doing.

The very last hand of the night goes to Dewi James, who finds ACES and talks Raymond O’Mahoney into calling his all-in preflop bet of 15k.  “If I had AQ, I’d call!” says Dewi.  Raymond calls holding pocket 66’s.
