Absolutely brilliant info guys
Thanks very much
My budget is £2k...... For hotel & flights (me & mrs fish) and can go any day in the Easter holidays.
Being a Vegas Virgin I don't have any preference apart from I want to fly direct & stay on the strip.
Edit £2-2.5k
Wouldn't think you'll have any problems getting flights and a week in a nice hotel for that mate. Let me know the dates of the easter holidays, and I'll scour about for some deals for you.
Have a look at the strip map Lee and check out reviews of the hotels, there will probs be some you would prefer not to stay in. Your budget is fine for what you want.
I like the idea of the bellagio but don't know why lol

Saturday the 12 April is the earliest we can go and Saturday the 26th the latest we can get back but the day of flights doesn't mater at all .....as my boss is awesome !(;
Ok mate, I'll have a look at some prices for you over the next couple days and see what I can find. The Bellagio rooms have been refurnished recently too, so you'll not have the tired old decor. You can definitely do a lot worse than stopping in the Bellagio on your first trip, I had my first 2 nights in Hooters before moving to the Wynn in 2006

I really appreciate you (and others taking the time).

Question for Simon
I have about 45k airmiles with virgin
And for 30k you can upgrade from economy to upper on a return trip to Vegas per their website
However you have to have O class economy tickets and I can't find anything but W, A, N, K or Y classes when I do a search ( letters may not be accurate but you get my gist)
Any insight or tips on this or the best way to use said miles?
If not then I will investigate more myself with the help of their online chat.
Thanks
http://www.virgin-atlantic.com/en/gb/frequentflyer/spendmiles/upgrade_table.jsp
Not sure where you are seeing that rate Stuart? It looks like 25k miles one way to me. And I'm pretty sure a few years ago they charged me 30k miles one way.
If you've found an offer somewhere on the website that I can;t see, that would definitely change the maths a bit but afaics, it is either
a) going to cost you a full price economy ticket (non-sale fare) and 50k miles.
b) buy the 55k miles you need for 100k miles and just take a reward upper round trip? It would cost you your 45k miles, £705 (to buy the extra 55k miles before 4th Oct) and then £500-odd in airport jizz.
Depending on the cost of the economy ticket, there may not be much in it.
For (a) I wouldn't book it that way on the website, I'd speak to one of the customer support team and ask them to quote you for an O class ticket ~ they should be able to tell you that the Upper upgrade would be available on that date before you book, to stop you buying an overpriced economy ticket if the upgrade isn't available.
For (b) at least you can plug in some dates on the website and see for yourself what's there... it's usually a bit sparse tbf, but if the dates line up then that might be the easy way.
PM me if I've overlooked/misunderstood anything?
Thanks Simon
Think your right about the 25k points being one way. My mistake.

I had a quick look on the 3rd party sites Lee and the prices are expensive at the mo, so would personally hold off booking at the mo. Probs best to wait until the next flight sale is on.
Which airport(s) would you be flying from? for future reference

Just gonna have a look for you now mate, so thought I would see if you would specifically wanted 7 days, or if you had thought about doing a few days longer?
If you fly out on a Sunday/Monday, you can stay Mon-Thurs the following week for at cheap rates because you only pay for 1 weekend.

Just looked now, going from the 13th-20th with Virgin and staying at Bellagio is coming out at ~£2.5k with Expedia and Ebookers.
However, if you go 17th-24th it is a little cheaper and comes out at ~ £2.3k with both of those operators.
Smartervegas doesn't have any promotion codes at present, but they may do at a later date.
Going direct with Virgin is £850pp 13th-20th, and £790pp 17th-24th, so I would recommend going Thursday-Thursday if it makes little difference to yourselves.
There is no great rush to book anyway, so those are just ballpark figures and you should be able to beat them quite handily when Virgin has a sale.

IF you do go down the 3rd party route, going through quidco would get you around £200 in cashback at those prices

Sorry if something like this has already been covered in the last 100 pages.
Would really appreciate any help from the experts.
Booked first trip to Vegas today, right at the end got mentioned about an esta vista. One of lads got a police caution for the possession of a small quantity of Columbian marching powder about 7 years ago, I presume it's a police caution, can't get a caution from courts can you?
Anyway what's chance he will go, is it nothing to worry about or a big problem? What's the best course of action for getting over this hurdle?

I am in Vegas during the last week in November and want to see some good quality shows this time. Are the shows for that week listed anywhere now?
