Never have before, but was due to go via LAX on my way home in January.
They cancelled the flight as I checked out of the Wynn, and I ended up going via Atlanta the next day.
Deep joy, and just what I wanted after 6 weeks away
Surely they should have to swap you like for like, if you were direct originally?

Cheers all, doesn't sound promising!
Marky, I think they were able to switch some of the players to a direct flight on 18th, but couldn't fit them all on, so had to put some lucky ones on the indirect flight of the same day. Not sure of the exact situation as it's all done by Redtooth.

Ahhh, I see. Well, I hope they get things sorted out as best they can, anyway.
Only annoying thing about Vegas, is all the travel

Got my dates/flights through from Redtooth for my latest trip to Vegas with them, leaving Heathrow on May 18th (won it in September 2019, was supposed to go in May 2020!) and unfortunately my mate and I have got a four hour stopover at LAX on the way. Annoying as was supposed to be a direct flight as usual but apparently the one from Gatwick on May 19th was cancelled. Always flown direct before - has anyone done the LAX stopover? Is there anything to do nearby or will it just be a case of sitting in the hotel bar for four hours?
Honestly, every time I've gone through LAX, the queues to get through security have been horrendous and at least an hour/hour and a half. By the time you get through those, unless you are on a through ticket, you'll have to check back in again, and if you're on a through ticket, you might not be able to leave the airport.
Echo this probably best to take your time n have a few at the bar
I cant remember our lay over time I’m thinking 2 hrs but there wasn’t much spare time

Has anyone had any Wynn Red Card (or whatever it is) offers recently? Can just about live with £200 a night or lower, but looked at the end of June and am thinking it is looking like nearer £300. Am likely going home on 30 June/1 July so it isn't 4 July, just price inflation. Feel like I need some tradition to hold on to now the Rio has gone.
Kind of annoying, as was thinking I might just play the Wynn tournaments after the PLO8 is over as they are so good these days. Will be ironic if I end up right by the WSOP and travelling to the Wynn daily.

I had my Casino offer for free nights which I booked for June, so I'm only seeing the normal member offers.
WREWARDS Is 30% off rack rate, which is high at the moment due to how busy everywhere is.

We stopped staying on the strip Doobs as it’s just too expensive
By expensive it’s not just the hotel but drinks too
We looked at circa Bellagio and southpoint for our honeymoon in May / June just a week as a treat
Prices were $2200- $1500- $750 respectively
So it’s south point again
plus they are generous with comping you
Drinks were a Bloody Mary n a corona $25 Bellagio $9 southpoint- which the barman usually comps off
So all a bit of a no brainer really
Just Uber in as and when
We will have 2 midweek nights when it’s cheaper in circa and Bellagio in the 5-6 weeks we plan to be there

Think there are a few non resort hotels near the strip that aren't that far from the WSOP. That might be where I end up. If I was there 6 weeks I definitely wouldn't be staying at the Wynn. Going to be very different this time, as probably looking at flying economy on my miles too.
Think am going to wait to see other schedules before booking the hotel anyway.

Get in the Orleans, and you can grind the 08 when you're not playing donkaments

Is that PLO8? Might even end up at the Golden Nugget. Am seriously looking at canning a lot of flying, so might end up at the Wynn if it becomes a less frequent thing.

Haha, not likely. I think it's 4/8 8/16 fixed.
I swear I saw some mixed PLO8 cash in a vlog a couple weeks ago. I can't remember who it was playing, though.
I think I'm done with vegas marathons, so going to burn my comps this trip and see what happens.
I'll probably move back downtown once they go, and just start doing shorter trips.

I'm staying at The Orleans when I go. I've only played O8 once in my life though so might give that one a miss lol.

I’m similar mate but it doesn’t stop me trying 😂😂😂
In January I registered for the 1400 tournament in the south point to sit down n discover it was 08 lol
Once a few years ago I bought into the HORSE $160 buy in at the nugget
I was totally out of my depth
Didn’t have a scooby
Had a savage hangover 🤕
Only had a vest on n it was freezing 🥶 in the nugget ballroom
I was out by 1700 with a bemused look 👀 on my face
Very weirdly Jerry buss shook my hand as I left and said good game .lol if only he knew
