Vegas nights now are just 31st July and 1st August, fly home on the 2nd.  It's only two nights, anything should do!

Just had a look at Planet Hollywood for those dates and you can get the same 2 nights for $177 using the link on code IMFNF

The rooms are nice and definitely worth it when you're saving over $250 on the Bellagio pricing.

I've just recommended PH to a young(ish) couple on that code also.  However, if you aren't too sensitive to the price difference, Bellagio Code was coming out @ $434 (including RF, tax, everything) so effectively $334 assuming you don't mind using the $100 f&b credit.

$243 PH v $334 Bellagio.  With your daughter, I'd go Bellagio imo.

Just got to take a gamble on the fountain view, and make sure you don't get punted off into the Spa Tower...

Well, on those prices you'd be gambling in both locations for the view.  Probably more chance of success greasing your way into that in PH tbf.

Obv it comes down to personal choice and pocket ~ I'd be happy enough at either hotel, but travelling with a daughter I think I'd prefer to pay a small premium for the Bellagio.

Why would the Bellagio be better taking my daughter Simon?  I thought I'd decided on PH till you've mentioned this.  How did you get $434 inc taxes?  The cheapest room for me is coming at $408 + $28pn resort fees, total $512.   Bellagio with a fountain view is $580.16 inc everything.  PH with fountain view is $355 inc everything.

PPS: What's Elara like? It just popped up on Expedia, looks pretty swish.

That's the old Planet Hollywood Towers unit, now owned by Hilton and I think that it's supposed to be pretty good from reviews. Also gives a bit of peace and quiet from the 'ding ding' of the casino, whilst still only leaving you a short walk from the strip and I believe it's situated at the end of the Miracle Mile shops.

http://www3.hilton.com/en/hotels/nevada/elara-a-hilton-grand-vacations-hotel-center-strip-LASCSGV/index.html

Looks to be under £200 for the 2 nights, with an upgrade to a Jnr Suite

I got that price following the clicky I posted ^^^ and afaics included RF, tax etc.

PH is a very vibrant hotel, aimed at a fairly young crowd that came to party.  You can walk your daughter to the buffet, pass through the pleasure pit and watch the scantily clad go-go dancers dancing on poles and into the buffet...  The pool is a small slab of concrete, massively over-populated with loud music and drinking.

Bellagio the pool area is massive, and (generally) very sedate.  You will easily be able to find sunbeds, parasols, and there are at least half a dozen pools, hot tubs, plunge pools, etc etc for you to relax and enjoy.

There's no right and wrong answer.  I like PH, I wouldn't put anyone off staying there, far from it.  Definitely check out Elara too which might give you a decent compromise ~ if you can somehow get a 1BDR suite for similar to Bellagio, that would be a solid family choice too.

It all comes down to personal taste and propensity to part with $$ ~ as long as you know what each experience is going to be like, you can't really make a bad choice.

Sometimes when I close my eyes all I hear is the ringing of the slots. I love it but that's the missus' least fav thing about Vegas, it drives her insane. When I have been there a day or two I can pinpoint the slots just from the sounds.

Zeus baby, i miss you!

I obv love my daughter to bits but for every 6 months she shits and cries I lose the cost of another Vegas trip. So jealous of anyone getting to go anytime soon. Sad

Mmm, pole dancers in PH you say?  I think I've made my mind up Cheesy

I think I'll avoid that with the family in tow.  Cheers for all the advice guys, will sort out something for sure this weekend.  Bellagio does sound best and I'd love to stay there

My first time (and only time so far) in Vegas was in 98, before I played poker and I didn't really gamble.  Was there for three night and played a bit of roulette for a few hours and loved it.  Got the Virgin credit card with a view of using the miles to pay for a trip to play poker for a week.  Family clearly weren't happy with me going to Vegas by myself when they also want to go so I've spent all the points and we all go economy for a great holiday.  We spend the first night we land in Vegas before heading away from the place and we're staying with friends at Tahiti Village (which does look good) - it's out of town and doesn't have  casino.  When we come back for two nights, one of those is spent watching O and I'll feel bad about disappearing to play a poker tourney or cash for the other night.   Will be a great holiday but another time in Vegas for me with little poker happening.  I'll have to save my points again and maybe get a week in around November time if I can get away with it.  My poker time will come one day Smiley

As Simon said, the only concern with Planet Hollywood is the pleasure pit Cheesy

That's the promo code link that I thought I had posted for the Elara last night - http://www.smartervegas.com/hotels/elara/promotionalcodes.aspx

For the 2 nights it's £210 for a 1 bedroom suite
