Think that one is unexploitable... it is for Virgin Holidays, but if anyone looks into it and finds an angle... pls post

Simon, Marky,

OK, I got another one today - is this any better, or of any interest? (It is from Virgin Atlantic)

Dear Anthony,

It’s the moment you’ve been waiting for! Our Reward Seat Sale starts today. So if you’re planning a trip abroad soon, we’ll get you off to a flying start. For two weeks only, you can book a reward flight in Economy on Virgin Atlantic to the world’s top destinations for 25% less miles*. Just remember to avoid our blackout dates^ and book by the 27 January 2014.

But the good news doesn’t stop there. You’ll also get a 25% bonus** if you top up your account with Buy Miles, Transfer Miles, Gift Miles or Miles Booster by 10 February 2014. So your dream ticket could be closer than ever.

for 25% less miles*

I hope that asterisk indicates that they know this should be fewer miles.

Yeah this one you can climb into....

Reward Sale Vegas Econ = 31,875 miles + £212 fuel surcharge/taxes.

Even if you have no miles at all.. you can currently go and buy 26k+6.5k bonus (i.e. enough for the flight) for £405.  Toss in £212 in jizz and you are in Vegas for £617 on a very flexible ticket.

Further up the range, 80k miles + 20k bonus (i.e. enough to walk straight into Upper) is available for £1215.  Fuel surcharge on top, also presumably reduced to c£400

Depending on how many miles you have on account, you can tweak the numbers accordingly to see how much less you need to find to do it in style.

I think the economy deal is very decent and wouldn't put anyone off it.  With the 25% bonus, Upper becomes very reasonable.  Both are fine, but Premium Econ for 75k miles is out of whack and doesn't represent the same amount of value imo.

P.S 2 weeks only... so snap it up

Marky is your downtown correspondent, I don't spend too much time down there, but have definitely had a good look around one time or another..

I think Marky sings the praises of the GN Rush Tower and I'm sure that's the best place to start.  Other places that might be worth a look are downtowngrand (on 3rd street and new) Plaza (dump, but refurbed from FoutaineBleu firesale) and Golden Gate (refurb'd rooms)

Page is returning an error page atm, so I assume it is more to do with the website than the availability.  I will be calling them tomorrow so I will feed back on what June availability is like in general.

There are loads of June/July packages on the miles deal, and I found my dates for the standard 32k miles + £213 tax.

I either get returned to the login page or it comes up with the money values only. £850+

Branson is moving his company forward at a rapid rate of knots, imo... They're weeding out the wronguns before they can even book a flight Wink
