Yeah, PH is fine. Plenty of cheap food/drink options between there and Miracle Mile.
Think you can just bowl into Lagasse's, unless it's changed since I went and watched football a few years ago.

Update.
Managed to get Planet Hollywood for the Week for £1800 Inclusive.
Planet Hollywood seems a decent Hotel so give it a bash.
Cheers All.
PS. Can you go to Legasse your self to watch the NFL or would you recommend another sports book like Westgate as per Tal.
Cheers.
Go in advance to Lagasse's (whenever you're in the area) or call them to reserve a seat or table. If you're just on your own, you can also sit at the bar.
Minimum spend is $25, unless it's changed in the last year. Beer and a burger costs you about that, so no worries there!
The issue with Lagasse's compared to a sportsbook is whether you'll get all the games on in view, in the order you want them. If they're showing redzone and you're happy with that, no problem.
If you can get in the theatre seating bit, there should be one or two main games (presumably the national TV games) and the rest on smaller TVs.
I've not watched NFL there. I suspect it will fill up and you'll be daft to rock up on spec, when booking is easy.
As for the Westgate, it's the only sportsbook I would recommend for the NFL. Every book will be full to bursting, as people travel to bet on these games.

Other attractions for us Brits is it's smoke free.
Westgate has more markets than everyone else, too, and at better margins (comparatively). You get 10/11 each of two or 5/6 and Evs. Also have some props.

If you're at PH, I quite like the Cosmo sportsbook, too.
Right at the front of the casino, just by the Starbies!

Anyone got any success stories of staying in the lead in room type at Cosmopolitan and getting bumped to a terrace room with a little bribe at check in?

Would think you'll struggle going from a City to a terrace with a $50 chucked at check-in, but if you're only there one or two nights maybe?
That's the trouble with us, we're always there so much longer, and it's harder for them to juggle things without going through channels.

Gonna stay there instead of Venetian, 5 nights Sunday to Friday in June.
Reading some success stories online of people getting bumped up to a terrace room from a City room for as little as $20, but (as always) very much the luck of the draw on who checks you in.
Half tempted to pay the extra for the terrace room but I fancy a gamble and I'm fucking skint
Edit; we're booking the lead in terrace room. Still gonna try the sandwich though

Booking a Studio 2 queen?
You might have better luck on those dates, as it's not over a weekend.
I'd pony up $50 and ask for a Boulevard Tower FV room, and failing that any FV room over the 25th Floor.
I love Palazzo, but Cosmo is my favourite resort on the strip other than Wynn.
Block 16 food court is really good. Love the wing special at Pok Pok Wing.

Booked a king studio terrace (we'll have to do rock paper scissors for the sofa bed if we can't get bumped at check in to 2x queen terrace!)
Really enjoyed Venetian when I stayed there last year but the appeal of chilling on the sofa on the terrace with a few beers in the June heat was too hard to resist, esp for the price.
Plus I like to stay in new hotels when possible, and this will be another one to tick off the list.

You won't want another one, after getting plotted up on that terrace.
Love doing my work in the morning, and a drink before bed on there.
They haven't got many 2 queens, but wave $50 about and I'm sure you can get one with a fountain view.
