I heard the debut single by The Wedding Present one night in 1985, while listening to the John Peel show. Have been obsessed ever since. David Gedge has written the soundtrack to my life.

My current favourite

Bit disappointed from video title not to see four cheeky irish lasses wearing far too much denim prancing around the place.

Now that I've done 'em both (so to speak) separately, time for this.  One of the highlights of Reading 2011 for me.

Not to everyone's taste even back in the 70's. A very talented Lady who wrote some of her songs as early as aged 13. Again so many to choose from

Like Kate, but I filed this one under 'Covers I prefer to the original'.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down 'happy'. They told me i didn't understand the assignment, and I told them they didn't understand life.
