just played 1k hands and spent the first few in the ++ then the whole session in the red trying to play solid and get some $$ back after QQ vs AA aipf.

Wrong mentality, don't look at results if you can help it to chase losses. Just play every hand as 'optimal' as possible and forget about previous results unless they affect the current decision

intention and mindset completely mis-explained here...

its not at all how i look at it... I just meant factually, it can get annoying to spent a long time in the session in the red when its just a 'standard' spot that put us there...  I am so much doing what you've mentioned above.. its something i've picked up through playing online and playing 'so many hands'...

really chuffed with how i dont 'blow' or 'tilt' or change how i play... its just that i play shit.. thats why i lose! Cheesy

getting better tho!

have to have that open so i can see the state of current session.. just every few hundred hands or so... unless i lose a few big pots in a short time then i look.

I get both positive reinforcement from +ve graph and i reassure myself when its -ve.

Your problem at nl25 is your winning non-showdown line, at these stakes it should be pointing pretty steadily downwards. This could be because you psychologically think "these players are better, I need to play 'better' to beat them" (I.e. more opens, more bluffs, more hero calls, thinner value bets), or it could just be cos these hands were ages ago and that's how you used to play, and have fixed it now at 10nl. Stick to your ABCs and you will beat 25nl too.

thanks fella.. means a chunk.

I think the last few k hands @ 25nl was my recent 'shot' so there's obviously still a problem.. but ive dropped down and playing much better since then..

When I'm confident and rolled (soon) then i will be moving back to work on that graph!

end of year

ya-ha

making good value bets and picking the spazzy bluffs off are where the money is at SS pokers, anything fancy is unnecessary and mostly pretty futile.

Obvs Keys comes out with some great advice. I noticed this from your graphs too but suck at putting constructive advice together unlike Mr Keys. I struggled with similar problems for quite a while, playing too aggressive, bluffing and hero calling way too much. It adds so much variance and you will spew off so much more. I  couldnt mentally handle the swings i was putting myself through, when there was really no need to do it.

You seem like you have improved a lot since you started the blog, and i'm sure if you carry on you will be able to achieve all your goals. GLGL

Side note
Early in session
http://wt.ag/PgmxiM
No one in group answered but I think its a nice line vs a Reg when I've never done this before... what do we think about river options?

Abso-fuming.

Bust the dtd200 after playing like the BIGGEST BIGGEST SUPER BIGGEST nit ever... had literally 4bb the entire tournament then find JJ and crush J10.. and then get in QQ vs Raggy's KQ and he turns bkdr flush draw but binks a K on the river for the sh*t's n giggles of it anyways. (Raggy - James Clarke is a fun player @ dtd)

Then while having destroyed 10nl all night while grinding this ridiculous-a-thon... I then start nocking in every ****ing hand.

Just had this convo with TL900 on skype...

[10:46:38 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: are we travelling together then or?
[10:47:17 PM] John Black: yer forgot to reply got ur text when in car
[10:47:18 PM] John Black: sure
[10:47:21 PM] John Black: i dont mind mett
[10:47:35 PM] John Black: just need some petrol monies obv
[10:47:43 PM] John Black: was nocking this session about so hard
[10:48:03 PM] John Black: then lost QQ vs KQ in dtd200 sat for decent stack with 35 left and 20 seats after having 4bb the whole tournament
[10:48:04 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: ye thats fine obv, i thought it was in complete other direction for you but its really not
[10:48:09 PM] John Black: then blown the rest of this session away
[10:48:13 PM] John Black: from 4bi's up to now about 1.4
[10:48:28 PM] John Black: just run set into set, oesd into whales 2p
[10:48:45 PM] John Black: KK into AA where i bluffed A33xJ when he call pre and ckb turn
[10:48:50 PM] John Black: ARGGGGH!
[10:49:07 PM] John Black: dont even feel tilted but insta stopping
[10:49:07 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: why are u turning KK into a bluff on A33xx?
[10:49:12 PM] John Black: no way im going negative now
[10:49:22 PM] John Black: i cbet to protect and make it easier to play
[10:49:37 PM] John Black: I've NEVER seen anyone @ 10nl ckb J turn with any A
[10:49:41 PM] John Black: so when he raises 7 river
[10:49:46 PM] John Black: he can literally ONLY have JJ or air..
[10:49:53 PM] John Black: and he's a 35/25 over 70 hands
[10:49:56 PM] John Black: clearly not normal
[10:50:11 PM] John Black: just had AA and played it terribad, shoulda shoved pre
[10:50:12 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: doesnt seem like a texture hes gona random spazz bluff on tho
[10:50:13 PM] John Black: tard
[10:50:26 PM] John Black: but they do some times when i cbet/ chk/ stab
[10:50:33 PM] John Black: cos they think i can only have one pair
[10:50:38 PM] John Black: so they go for the random bluff
[10:50:43 PM] John Black: what value can he have
[10:50:47 PM] John Black: never raises AJ
[10:50:50 PM] John Black: that doesnt bet turn
[10:50:56 PM] John Black: we're 130bb's deep
[10:51:00 PM] John Black: ALWAYS bets turn
[10:51:10 PM] John Black: unless he has exactly JJ or AA
[10:51:18 PM] John Black: and obv dont think a whale with 35/25 ever has AA
[10:51:21 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: exactly, hes repping so thin
[10:51:24 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: its almost never a bluff
[10:51:37 PM] John Black: but what value can he have
[10:51:37 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: [10:51 PM] John Black:

<<< and obv dont think a whale with 35/25 ever has AAwrong mentality obv
[10:51:43 PM] John Black: srs?
[10:51:50 PM] John Black: he has to have value in that
[10:51:55 PM] John Black: or i just always shove pre
[10:51:58 PM] John Black: and make mirrions
[10:52:03 PM] John Black: and have 30% when called
[10:52:41 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: when people raise at 10nl
[10:52:43 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: they have it
[10:52:49 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: more often than not
[10:53:09 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: people dont turn pairs into bluffs
[10:53:26 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: and if hes bluffing, i think hes gona b/b/b than b/c/b
[10:54:38 PM] John Black: people also take random lines with random hands
[10:54:52 PM] John Black: had it so much where on Jxx X J he bets flop and river, i raise and he snap folds
[10:54:58 PM] John Black: they have no idea what they're doing and random bet
[10:55:04 PM] John Black: GRANTED
[10:55:08 PM] John Black: river raises tend to be nutty
[10:55:45 PM] John Black: i would have happily just cf turn but when he raises river (think betting is thin but possibly gd vs QQ and KJ type hands..)
[10:55:50 PM] John Black: but when he raises im like WTF
[10:56:02 PM] John Black: then see his stats and im like.. wtfcanyouhavehere
[10:56:15 PM] John Black: never Ax... NEVER. maybe JJ prolly not..
[10:56:20 PM] John Black: so its like AA or nothing
[10:56:28 PM] John Black: and AA didn't even come into my head
[10:56:28 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: why can he not have JJ?
[10:56:37 PM] John Black: always bets turn thinking he got lucky vs my AK
[10:56:39 PM] John Black: literally
[10:57:08 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: your whole thinking just seems warped imo
[10:57:11 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: on how to beat this limit
[10:58:19 PM] John Black: i had been crushing it all day
[10:58:24 PM] John Black: then this randomness happens
[10:58:32 PM] John Black: obv someone limp/calls with 10's
[10:58:43 PM] John Black: obv comes 103x when i have33 and obv he cc down.
[10:58:45 PM] John Black: WTF
[10:58:58 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: yea obv in that spot u cant do anything
[10:59:06 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: but calling river raises light is just plain bad imo
[10:59:27 PM] John Black: didnt call
[10:59:30 PM] John Black: he made it 4 and i shoved
[10:59:41 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: lol
[10:59:43 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: u serious?
[10:59:45 PM] John Black: yes
[10:59:47 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: that is horrible
[10:59:48 PM] John Black: wp john
[11:00:02 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: why?
[11:00:05 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: i dont understand
[11:00:13 PM] John Black: like i said he can't have anything.. so i jammed it in his ruddy eyes....
[11:00:25 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: but why
[11:00:29 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: if hes bluffing we call and win?
[11:00:30 PM] John Black: was hoping for a spite call from KJ/ QQ tbh
[11:00:34 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: lollllllll
[11:00:39 PM] Tom Langley - Mt.Spewmore: your mental mate
[11:00:40 PM] John Black: putting this in blog btw

So that was just now.

These are the hands from the start of the session....

Wins..
http://wt.ag/QOKiR1

http://wt.ag/QOKob8
dont love cbet-ing but think cc we can get him to bet Jx type hands.. obv he bets his better ones.. but we gots a gutty if we need it.

http://wt.ag/QOKGyO

http://wt.ag/QOLcgl

http://wt.ag/QOLeEK
Vs the guy who keeps trying to play back at us, might have to slowplay pre now as he's stopped blowing...

Last 200 hands of session post QQ vs KQ hand... some wins some losses.
http://wt.ag/QOO1hh
This is obviously ridiculous spew, at the time I was thinking WTF can he have.. he NEVER has Ax... and almost never has JJ so its literally AA and nothing.. and I thought he might actually have KJ/QQ hands some % thinking im FOS.  tbh AA didn't even enter my head as he called IP pre...

http://wt.ag/QONkV8
Vs a guy we play a LOT of hands with in a very short space of time... he is the guy with the AA vs our KK above...

http://wt.ag/QONwUl
Vs a guy who has gone all in pre flop 4 times in a row, showing everytime... vs atc i'll take J10.  We won. Cheesy

http://wt.ag/QONzQ1
On same table as the KK explosion... might be bad but vs a loose-ish midstack player i'm unsure.. I'd reraised the last 3 hands so think he's sure I'm FOS here... shame.

http://wt.ag/QONGLw
Didn't just explode everywhere..

http://wt.ag/QOPxju
this was vs a super aggy maniac... I realise its multi-way.. but that hadn't stopped him bet/folding in the previous few orbits going mental.. so figured this could be fun.  not so much.

http://wt.ag/QOQ8le
mbn to be me sometimes..

OH and this one...

SIGHHHHH!
http://wt.ag/QOVblB

In total today we ran about 2 bi's under EV but there are some monsters here as well....

Sucks sucks sucks sucks sucks.....

whatever, still won 1bi and I've got homework to do for my training course.

dunno mate, a few.. but it probably didn't match the seats.

I don't bother to care tbh, still annoyed at the DTD Satellite email I received today stating that all seats are non transferable and non sellable from now on...

I <3 DTD don't get me wrong and I know they've been nocking it in in the sats... but gl with this new strat.
