Why bother playing particularly Sundays at small stakes? The fields are huge every day, and the Sunday fields are pretty unmanageable

no idea mate, pat suggested i play something.. i was up for it. obv i have no evidence online so doesn't want to risk much.. think we outlayed $270 and won $220 or something.
I'm interested in mtt's ofc.. but think i need solid cash game fundamentals to make sure I'm playing 'solid'.
One thing i did notice throughout the session was that I played a few hands very unconventionally compared with what i expect other mtt regs might.
Pretty sure I made some 'nitty' folds/ mistakes between 10 and 20bb's.
- folded
UTG got told off for this by fitzy
- flatted AA pre a few times, worked out well [X]

cant think of any situation where folding T8s between 10 and 20bbs would warrant a telling off?

Yeah fair enough. If you wanna flick in some tournaments at lower stakes I'd probably suggest doing it during the week, give yourself a reasonable chance of winning one. Tbh if your overall goal is to get good at poker, probably wouldnt bother with them full stop, just keep at the cash

that was my plan mate.. Pat suggested it, i obv said we should play the 109/162's and definitely a couple of the 215's probably a 530 and at least 1x 1k-er.. but Pat decided to play em himself and well.... err... win it it looks like.
sighhh...
Definitely feel a lot happier 'in a hand' the more i play in 6max cash. Keeping it going FTW

So sweet to rail Pleno1 to a big finish tonight in the 530 - 3rd for $51k. I'm sure he's upset but he played great and really showed how you 'can' not get to showdown so much that your hand doesn't matter, its just their range and calling frequencies.
obv KK vs AK helps... but it has to hold.
wp mate and speak later.

Stato coaches? :p
Ul JB. Mtts are really gross. Think I'm winning on sharkscope now purely due to hypers. Def softer overall then cash but not the way to go right now imo.

Just cracked out a stars session as Pat was too busy counting his $$ from last night to send me any to play.
I definitely made a bunch of 'standard' mistakes, one I remember was stacking off with AJ three way vs 99 on A9x.. hate that.
But I did buck up my ideas and stop with the messing and levelling, there were a few small spots where I did something small like 3bt click a flop with equity.
Other than that, think I had AA a lot, and felt like I made a set every orbit, which was fun.. however lost a couple of big pots with sets vs gutshots that got there otr - sucked. Here's the graph.. even with a couple of big mistakes (maybe 2-3 bi's worth) we still won @ 14bb/100 which is nice. Apparently our EV is -ve but I'm not sure why.. need to check out the pots why.
Just checked
- 3way pot where I raise/4bt pre and 10's and QQ's flat oop, flop 10xx and i set them in for their last $5 each into a $12 pot... I turn an A - whatever!
- Got in
vs
on
- And AA vs KQ on Qxx
Going to go to bed after watching the Andy Murray final in the US Open. So glad Andy has done it, I've met him in the past and wished him well, he's a very goodd tennis player and surprisingly off the court he's rather chatty and charismatic. He's had to work through a selection of some of the greatest players to play the game ever. Just so chuffed for him.
