So we watched Pat's video and tbh I'm a little frustrated he and I didn't do something like that together months ago.. I know I tried to convince him (I understand his time being taken up n all, but still its the truth).
Biggest pots today
http://wt.ag/Uerm4d
http://wt.ag/UerpwM
Really can't see another way to play this...
http://wt.ag/UeroJ8
lollers...
http://wt.ag/Uerroo
freeeero-llingggg.......
http://wt.ag/Uerv7N
hmmmm...
http://wt.ag/Uerws9
interesting... nice hold.
http://wt.ag/UerxfC
want to fold here but I've actually had AK/ Ax here and seen Qx or random flush draw type hands enough to make this profitable due to my price..
http://wt.ag/UerznN
mbn i guess... good tekkers
http://wt.ag/UerD70
Shame I couldn't get the lot... little passive
http://wt.ag/UerFf8
meh... flipz
http://wt.ag/UerHnp
really unsure about this kind of thing... when a guy has this short a stack I don't know when or where I can fold a hand as strong as this.
http://wt.ag/UerKQc
unfortunate...
http://wt.ag/UerReu
don't think this can be a bad 2nd barrel....
Interesting bunch of hands.. I played exactly in the style I saw Pat play, doing some of the same things (overbetting turns in some spots) or using bet sizes to try and indue.. etc etc..
Seems tough to lose big pots like this which is obv the aim..
I've tried to not say "you're wrong" to you guys telling me what to do, and what I'm doing wrong. I feel like I've tried to explain what I've seen and experienced. It definitely feels harder to win big pots when I'm not pushing the action (as much). But obviously their tighter calling ranges (needing a pair) mean I have to actually realise my equity...
How's this for a comedy 'lifetime' stars graph....

I think I like a check behind in the AJ hand. Pretty happy to give up a lot of the time and we have outs now. Would bet a lot of the time on a 2-8 or ace turn.
Also, what's the worst hand you call with in the hand you describe as "unfortunate" ?
Thoughts on jamming the river with the three tens?
Came here expecting a ton of spew, and was a little gutted to see you're playing a bunch of value hands really well. How are you feeling in terms of confidence and overall happiness towards the game? Looks like there's less frustration here, that's for sure.
Keep up the great diary mate.

Im trying AND im listening...
cbetting just makes the hand easier to play + its such a wet board + I know I was hitting a Q ball..

its tough, probably two puurrs/ JJ as every time I've seen this its been this type of hand or 89.

no, they just don't call enough...

Shockingly im enjoying winning and im enjoying learning, only question I've got its that my last few days id developed a tight aggresive style that was winning a LOT more at nsd and creating big pots easier when we hit flops I i was 3bting EVERYTHING oop.
Keep up the great diary mate.

I stoved versus this range
{ 99, A9s, K9s, Q9s, J9s, T9s, 97s+, A9o, K9o, Q9o, J9o, T9o, 98o }
Because he has a 9x hand literally 100% of the time, and he's shown up with A9o I think it's reasonable to assign that.
JJ is 49.3% here, so theoretically the worst hand we should call is QQ, but in game it's close enough. Sick tekkers John.
99 and TT are way better hands to call than JJ for obvious reasons, and hands with a 9+pair are decent favourites as well, but are no brainers.
Re the jam with TT on 8 6 5 T Q: Agree that when they're folding loads it feels like even top two is thin value on most runouts etc. This just seems like a great spot to bang it in. He's going to have a hard time passing two pairs and overpairs, if for some reason he's shown up with a straight draw combo type hand then he's going to/should fold anyway. When the queen hits and you mash it in, bad regs are going to have a hard time giving you any credit. Maybe I'm wrong; you were in the game longer than I was, and I certainly would not advocate blasting rivers for fun just cause we have a good hand but this seems like a really decent spot.

Check folding makes it even easier and is by far the best option

Played a session just now... tried one bluff where I cr
as PFR and barrell off on
(he had flatted QQ pre and obv isn't folding them... I thought his range would be 9x a LOT)
ended up losing a little less than this pot was worth... but had a couple of rough hands where someone donk/called 10x on 10xx and then snap bet river when I had JJ on 10.. I called sigh.
Also had KK vs UTG raise/4bt and folded on AJ10..
meh...
playing more solid overall... don't like my bluff.. heres a graph

this is the hand..
http://wt.ag/Sa73Ts
tell me what you think i should do... because I've only gotten 200bb's in once so far with KK and the guy had them AA's.
I've seen people stack off pre with QQ's for 100bb's but A LOT of people have turned up in pots (like the bluff i tried) where they haven't reraised/ stacked off pre with QQ.
If it was any position other than UTG vs UTG+1 then im happy getting a lot of money in pre... but am I really going to get in 200bb's and see less than AA a lot?

Pots over 30bb's
http://wt.ag/Sa8pxr
[ ] bluff went well
Don't like his play with QQ's but obv it allowed him to have a 'strong hand' disguised.. but obv when I do this for value i have a better hand. It's a mistake from me, but i was sure his range would be folding on this runout a lot.. figuring he just doesn't have enough fd's that he plays like this to make the river not a shove - we do have a nutty blocker.. but hmmm....
http://wt.ag/Sa8ql6
http://wt.ag/Sa8r8F
would 3bt this a decent % but I had gotten 4bt a LOT in bvb situations... so much so i was considering starting to 3bt/5bt AJ+ 88+
http://wt.ag/Sa8tNO
interesting line.. (reinforces my thoughts that people don't triple tptk very often.. normally it's better...
http://wt.ag/Sa8u4i
interesting stack off pre...
http://wt.ag/Sa8st4
not sure i can do much else at any point.. guess he didn't have an A
http://wt.ag/Sa8uRZ
unsure of what to do here... don't like getting it in pre.. don't like just calling down... don't like folding pre of flop... really don't know what's the best here...
http://wt.ag/Sa8voN
not sure i like much about this... but obv sick price pre... (wpsir) and then decent-ish runout for a bluff.. but once he's played his hand so 'tricky' and 'clever' i guess he isn't folding otr..
http://wt.ag/Sa8vFr
she snap bet this river so quick she can only have already prepared a bet, this got me thinking.. I guess maybe she has a flush a chunk, but I figured 10x would take a second or two to think about options.
hmmmmmm.....
no more over 30bb's which is good...
accidentally folded AA pre when i 'timed' out while waiting for hud to load to work out whether to squeeze UTG+1 or not... eugh!
other than that just didn't get many value hands and missed with AK a bunch..

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

people don't play back/ call much vs a UTG raise and UTG +1 reraise..
need to see if there are squeezers behind to make the most 'optimal' play...

I can tell you for a fact that raising is more optimal than folding
