6/4 for Corbyn to be labour leader at next election sounds tasty, can't see the labour grass roots being to happy if the 'political elite' keep forcing leadership challenges. So unless he resigns before the election or passes away, he should be the guy in charge of the ship.

Personally I would of thought it was odds one he was in charge

Though the 5 years till next election reduces the value as any money invested could of been reinvested many times over the 5 years.

Personally I would like to see the odds on the Labour Party having a split between now and the next election with a new centralist party formed as labour  moves left

Lads go 11-4 that Corbyn doesn't become next Labour leader, and they're the firm going the 6-4 mentioned here.

Corbyn is 10-1 to be next PM so, if Labour are 3-1 to win the next election, that makes the 6-4 about right innit?

Why the difference in prices though? If he's 2-7 to win the leadership race, why would he be 6-4 to still be in charge in 2020?

Getting rid of a Labour party leader is, theoretically, quite difficult. It requires the signatures of 20 per cent of Labour MPs before party conference to trigger a leadership ballot, although, in practice, a leader would likely step down rather than carry on, bloodied, until the next Labour party conference.

I think 6/4 is way too short. A number of factors could/will lead him to resign, even before being pushed.

If nothing else, as an election looms, a lot of Labour MPs in marginals ,and not so marginals!.... are going to be fearful of losing their seat.

Surely if the labour grass roots 1 member 1 vote  give him such a huge vote in this leadership race then the MPs will be on a hiding to nothing  by ignoring the members

If Corbyn still has the members behind him the MPs will just have to suck it up till the election

JC will get elected but MPs can kick him out and call for a new vote at a anytime, if they think they will lose their seats in the next GE then they will try for a new leader with 18 months to go.

The fixed term parliament will do Cameron no favours this time, otherwise he could call a snap election in May 18 before JC leaves, play the "labour are a bunch of left wing loonies" card and get a landslide.

Martins is of course famous for scoring the best league cup final goal of all time, a smidgen ahead of Woodgate's.

Yannick Bolasie says "it could be the right time" to go. Burlington Bertie with Scuy to head norf of da rivva to the Lane. No good for Fred, of course.

For context, Juve and Spurs reps reportedly met yesterday for a chinwag over a spot of luncheon. Llorente was the main course but with a complimentary bottle of Lamela. You'd hate to lose that credit card roulette flip, wouldn't you?

For those who like these things

Surprised platini is holding up at 8/11 or even 4/6 with coral and sky bet respectively

The paddies 1/3 looks more accurate only one definite opposition standing so far

I think we should make an early small bet of £30 on Birmingham at 2/1 + at home to Derby on Friday.  Reasons:

1) Derby have Boro midweek and think that game will take a lot out them and they'll play the first team.  Quick turnaround to Friday.
2) Brum have a re-arranged game v Gills in League Cup on Tuesday so will probably rest players
3) Some of the Derby players look fat
4) Brum decent start/Derby stuttered to 2 draws.

the best price here was Bet365

I took £22.73 at 11/5 Birmingham to win

which was the maximum allowed

i can top up if required elsewhere

That's fine Tighty - it's only a tiddler and I imagine the Derby players will lose their beer guts at some point.
