If you can get 11/8 on Ed Balls to go tomorrow, I'd advocate a £20 bet.
You're essentially betting on him to finish outside the top two in votes, as he's certain to be bottom of the leaderboard, with two dances (including a cha cha challenge group elimination). This week's tango is camp but he will stomp through it (Satisfaction by the Rolling Stones) and have a Zoolander pout. It'll be fun but won't match last week's routine or (of course) the one before it.
With the stuff in the press, but more the fact there's always a novelty act and the week after Blackpool people tend to be more serious with their votes when there's a quieter week, I get the feeling this might be his time.
If there's a market on Danny's score out there or on top score of the night, please let me know. From the footage, I would set the line on Danny's samba at 39.5. He's Ramprakash good at the samba. Yes, I actually just said that. I've never seen knees like it in Strictly.
11/8 is Winner only

11/10 best for us, so leaving it

With FP2 completed yesterday, now is the ideal time to place bets ahead of qualifying. The results in FP3 mean absolutely nothing as that session is held at a completely different time of the day to qualifying and the race, providing unrepresentative results due to the effect of track temperatures.
Here are my suggestions:
Race Winner - Nico Rosberg
@ 3/1 (various). Deliberated over this one long and hard because Lewis is the driver on form at the moment, and he has the extra motivation of really needing to win this weekend for the title. However, I just can pass up a price of 3/1. Abu Dhabi is one of Nico's stronger circuits, and if he could get in front, he's going to be driving the widest F1 car ever ... there is also the real possibility that Lewis pressures himself too much and makes a mistake. Suggest £10.

Podium Finish - Sebastian Vettel
@ 15/8 (Stars/Boyles/Hills). While Red Bull have the legs on Ferrari at the moment, Sebastian is a specialist on this circuit. It makes sense here for Ferrari to go with an alternative strategy and so this price is too high. Suggest £20.
http://www.oddschecker.com/motorsport/formula-one/abu-dhabi-grand-prix/top-3-finish
Caught Speeding In Pit Lane During The Race - Romain Grosjean
@ 33/1 (SkyBet). Bit of a strange suggestion. Romain has been struggling with his brakes this weekend (all season actually, Haas do have a top ten car, but their drivers quite literally don't know when to brake and how much pressure to apply on a corner-by-corner basis ..) and has locked up a couple of times coming into the pits. Resultantly, 33/1 appears like a good spot.

That's all there is out there at the moment. Results haven't been too great for me over the latter half of this season, and part of the reason for that is because we're coming to the end of the current technical regulations. This means that as teams switch off development on their 2016 cars, the gaps between cars, and the results, are staying extremely static .. effectively making value hard to come by.
hello, i will place the first two bets shortly
Rosberg isn't going to be concerned with winning is he? can't risk a fight at the first corner. just finish 2nd, no risks, nice conservative drive and not put the pressure on himself?
by the by we have £50 at 5.5 ante-post so lets hope for tikay he brings it home

I think we should be backing M'Boro away at Leicester at 4/1. Lots of reasons we all know.
I'm also interested in Millwall away to Bury. Bury in absolutely awful form, been thrashed 4-1, 5-0, 5-1 in the last 4, then 1-0 away at Sheff Utd, where they was poor and not a shot on goal. Added to that, they had two sent off at Sheffield Utd.

So it's saphir du rheu in the Hennessy tomorrow 5 places 1/4 odds with hills?
Prefer 10/1 4 places than 8/1 5 places. Can we get on with baldfred or the nanny? Suggest 25 e/w that and Un Temps Pour Tout if we can.
Classy horses. Love Saphir, has been a bit of a disappointment, but should be very close off this mark. Un Temps Pour Tout won a french champion hurdle and bossed his race at cheltenham.
Hopefully will both be there in the mix at the end

Most of the bets placed so far seem more like hopeful punts rather than value spots

That's true. However, if Nico gets pole, and starts ahead, it's a different story entirely.
I've also got a pre-season bet of Lewis to win three titles in his career, £50 at 10/1. Could take a big step forward this weekend. Not sure why the thread didn't have this one, was with Coral, perhaps that's why?

no, because it was an open ended bet, iirc. no idea when it will settle.
of course if he doesn't win it tomorrow with the new regs coming next season and (hopefully) shaking up the grid order the bet does take a big leap forward

Ah gotcha.
Yep true. Although I'm not yet convinced we will see a shake up next season, despite the new regulations.
The other big pre-season bet to settle this weekend (for me) is no podiums for McLaren in 2016. £125 at 2/1. That was with SkyBet hence why the thread doesn't have it.

For those who have PP, Liverpool/Leicester/Newcastle boosted to 3.75, best price 2.98 elsewhere. Max £20.

Morning all
Top of the table Scunthorpe at home to mid table Oxford today in League 1. Scunthorpe currently Evens with Koral.
Shouldnt they be odds on?
Seems like a bet to me. Recommend £20.
