Okay, as promised, race of champions bets. Not for the thread though as the only market I can see is SkyBet.

Drivers:
Sebastian Vettel @ 11/4 - suggest £30. 11/4 is a good price on Sebastian who is, without doubt, the most talented driver in the field. The problem he (and all drivers) will have is that in the knockout stages just one tiny mistake means you're out; there's the potential for huge variability on such a short event. Nevertheless, Sebastian is my main tip to retain his title.

Juan-Pablo Montoya @ 14/1 - suggest £5 EW. Juan-Pablo is an immensely quick driver if he's in the right mood .. and the suspension characteristics of the cars available should suit his style. 14/1 seems too high in my opinion, he should be more like 5/1.

Scott Speed @ 40/1
- suggest £5 EW. Scott is one of those drivers who's quick in absolutely anything, I'm flabbergasted that he's priced so high - he shouldn't be more than 15/1 topps. I suppose you could argue he may have lost some speed because he hasn't had a regular drive in a top level series for a while, but I don't see that being the case.

Nations:
Germany (Vettel/Wehrlein) @ 3/1 - suggest £50. Price is just too high. Two regular F1 drivers should be able to retain their title with ease - I would have them odds on if I were setting the prices.

Brazil (Kanaan/Massa) @ 12/1 - suggest £5. The price feels slightly too high. We know Felipe will get the job done. Brazil's chances will rest on how Tony copes running in multiple vehicles. He certainly seems confident and happy after practice.

It's almost scary how much I can affect the markets:

Vettel 11/4 -> now 2/1
Montoya 14/1 -> now 8/1
Speed 40/1 -> now 25/1
Germany 3/1 -> now 2/1
Brazil 12/1 -> now 9/1

much more marginal

18-20+ sixes to be expected in a 700 run game but taking 15+ you are risking one side getting rolled over for 250 or so

--

unfortunately the melbourne renegades bet lost this morning when the sixers came from nowhere to beat the Stars to win the final spot in the last 4 and knock our bet out

Oooh, didn't see the market there. That's an absolutely bonkers price, get on if you're not already on with Sky.

The event is now airing on Sky Sports F1. If you're interested, I'll be live tweeting, hoping to provide some analysis. I'm @f1peter27 Smiley

A bit pants that Scott Speed got knocked out in qualifying by Alexander Rossi ..

Montoya just had a very promising first run though.

Not going well here, Vettel spectacularly out in the group stage. Didn't bring his A game today, was poor.

Hopes now on Montoya who has qualified for the quarter finals.

Juan-Pablo Montoya is the 2017 ROC champion. Got better and better as the event progressed, learned quickly.

£5 EW at 14/1 makes £115 return if you got on at the original price Smiley

Wide open to anyone named Stan.  As a neutral I would love to see Gael Monfils win one.

Muguruza  is a tempting price at 8/1 1/3odds or 7/1 1/2odds.  She has been to two slam finals winning one and many more to come.  Two good reasons would be kerber is not playing great and it wouldn't surprise me to see her knocked out in a few hours time.  The other reason is muguruza seems to thrive playing kerber, the recent head to head is pretty dominant, a great match up if you like for muguruza.

Maybe it wasn't too late to back Dimitrov and Raonic then.   Was feeling good this morning, then remembered I was limited to shrapnel.
