We need some more views on the Bilbao game, & the Liverpool game - in both cases, we have for & against.
I really liked Tighty's analysis, but horsey knows his onions to, so we are between a rock & a hard place now.
There is no-one against the Pool bet Mr T, as far as I can see. It kicks off in 15 mins.
Edit: the one caveat is that although Anzhi are top of the Russian league, they have to play their European games in Moscow as their stadium doesn't pass regulations. And they are hated in Moscow so the home advantage won't be as strong as it could be. But all their players live in Moscow anyway so that offsets that a little.
We have £50 @ 9/10 with BetVictor, Anzhi to beat Liverpool. (Live on Ch 4, 5pm).
Who owns the bet?

Anzhi Makhachkala v Liverpool
Anzhi Makhachkala

Odds: 9/10

I watched Pool V Anzhi last time and thought Anzhi were clueless going forward and solid in defence. I struggle to see Pool scoring with the team they are putting out. For me it's a low goals bet and would favour Anzhi to score if Etoo played further forward today.

We are going for the other lot, right?
Yes.
Interesting article on them.

Wow. Russia's Man City then.
We did suggest, a few weeks ago (actually, many months ago) that we should keep opposing Liverpool until the tide turns. The worry is that we are too late. They do still seem to struggle to score goals though.

Personally I'm not opposing Pool in all matches, just opposing them at Anfield. Their away record over the season and a half period is not too bad.
I don't feel we are too late. The team is still very much in transition and whilst it may be decent by the end of the season or the start of next, it is a long way from being a Champs League contender at the moment. And their strength in depth is woeful (albeit with a lot of potential), which is why they are worth opposing any time they play a weakened side.

Yes, that all seems to make sense, even to me.

There you go Ray, these are the current prices.

If we got some warmth for the bet, we'd do it, but I think the concensus is that the price is about right. Which would mean "no bet".
Mind you, that stat David gave us might swing it - first time that bloke has played in the Europa League on his 29th Birthday. Awesome stuff.

Would spurs be a lay at 1.3, with no rhythm in this competition at all yet, aside from about half an hour against Lazio?
Is 30/100 reflective of punters lumping on spurs at home against a poor side, rather than true value?
FWIW I think we'll win, but we have a number of injuries and an eye on Sunday's game against Man City.
Against that, Spurs HAVE to win tonight.

Zilch knowledge of footy, but...
I've included a Newcastle win in a double with a Liverpool draw.

Both teams to score: 6-5 with Boylesports and VC.
Reverse fixture 1-1 and we seem to need to score twice to win this season. With depleted defence, could be a bet. I'm surprised to see it this side of even money. Suspect we could take players off if we get comfortably ahead, blooding some young'uns like Adam Smith, which could lead to a consolation goal à la Messi last night.
Thoughts?
