I think the disparity in the price is because rory is in boom or bust mode. He can eithe put it all together and looks massive, or he could have another hissy fit and storm of cos his clubs ain't nice to him.....diddums.. That makes the quite big too.

In his current form, the is the only one of interest, but a month to go yet, and his tooth might still be hurting.

Nine three suited = all in (nap)

Please add the following to your ante-post Chelt portfolio.

£15 EW Utopie Des Bordes 12-1 Albert Bartlett Memorial, NRNB

This comes from a super-reliable sauce.

PS, anyone any thoughts on Brentford away at Stevenage on Tuesday @ 5/4? Stevenage's wheels have come right off and Brentford are pretty reliable.

The 12/1 has gone with BV, others still go 12/1, but not with the NRNB, so we have reduced the bet & gone with the 10/1 NRNB.

We have £10 EW @ 10/1, BetVictor, Utopie des Bordes, Albeert Bartlett Hurdle thingie.

ON

Cheltenham Ante Post 2013 Albert Bartlett Hurdle
Utopie Des Bordes (EW)
(Horse Racing Outright)
Odds:  10/1
Stake:  20.00
Possible Return:  145.00

Missed the 12/1 on betvictor myself.  For the casual punter would it be better to follow Fred and take the 10/1 NRNB, or the 12/1 available with some other firms?

See the Post just above by BadBeat - it looks like some others now go 12/1 NRNB. I was too quick, it seems.

I did have a quick glance at odds checker after reading Badbeat's post. Both firms he mentioned are also 10/1. It seems the price of insurnace from the NRNB is 2 points, just wondered if it was worth it.  But i guess maybe that depends on how risk adverse the punter is?

Bogere v Abril

I make this one a lot closer than the bookies have it. Abril is being overrated due to his last fight against Rios where he got robbed. Rios just couldn't cope with his style and got outfoxed. Aside from the Rios "loss" there's not a lot to get excited about on his record. He has an awkward style and is rarely in a good fight. There will be lots of clinches and holding. Bogere is unbeaten and taking a step up in class. I don't think he is a world beater but he has a live chance here. He is not a huge puncher and Abril has never been stopped and is difficult to catch clean. Therefore I like the 5/1 for Bogere on points. Recommend £10.

Sorry (ish...) I missed this Bazza, I had retired for the night by then.

I was at a preview evening during the week and this was one that had everyone reaching for their phones Utopie Des Bordes. Having checked, it seems to be the real talking horse at these preview nights.

I have the Bettrends preview evenings reports, and happy to let you have access if you PM me

Willhill just released their priority price on todays game.  Bale anytime and spurs win at 4/1  MAx £10 limited to the first 5000 customers.  Not sure if it is of interest to anyone but thought i'd put it out there.

Bale anytime is 7/5ish tops. Spurs to win is similar, so seems a very good price to me.

I'm obviously too smart to put horse racing bets up here...buuuuuuut....I'd like to post something that has interested me.

A horse is travelling from Newmarket to Sedgefield and is the only horse the trainer is taking. It's the top rated horse in the field (according to whatever ratings are used in The Sun). It is down in grade and, despite being pulled up in its last two runs, he's on a 400+mile round trip today for a class 5 handicap.

Ballyvoneen is 16-1 on betfair in the 3.50 at Sedgefield.

Thoughts?

Pretty shocked that you read The Sun.
