Tikay I misclick failed to place the bet on Huddersfield. I'm 2-0 for these misclicks now. Can you produce a misclick training video for me? Is it because I fail to misclick spectacularly?

You need to narrow your misclick range. I suspect you're worried about exposing it, but you needn't. One thing you can do is check less. This should give you a good balance between the wrong side Asian handicaps and similarly named outsider wins and that's all the range protection you need.

If you insist on having a look before you press the Bet button, ring a friend in between or have a fruit-based snack, so as to give yourself a chance of making a mistake.

So that's 50% Check-call; 50% check-jam.

I remember Kybo but I would never have guessed it was an acronym and certainly not for that, how they must have chuckled at whooooshing everyone.

I remember Three Troikas too vaiguely, it was around the time of those great French mares Allez France and Dahlia IIRC, I had a nice touch on Dahlia once, possibly at Sandown Park or was it kempton.

How much did you win for your early ten-to-follow victories? I bet noone else did that double.

Jeez Ralph, Allez France & Dahlia, there are some great stories there.

Think I better put them on my Diary, before I further derail Fred, once I start I can't stop with those old racing tales.

I would imagine the touch you had on Dahlia was at Ascot, but it could have been Sandown I suppose. I doubt it was Kempton.

You're right Tony it was Ascot, the king George 1973 I've just watched the replay.

I had a basement flat in Pimlico at the time and I used to bet in a bookies right next door to The Chelsea Drugstore which was in fact a landmark pub in the early 1970's about half-way up the King's Road on the left. I was qhite friendly with the manager and I had deposited £200 with him behind the jump so that I could phone in bets while watching the racing on my telly.

I had done in over half of it by the time Dahlia's race came along and in a classic case of chasing had the remaining £80 on her. I've searched high and low but I can't find the SP's for the race anywhere but I think it was around 8/1 at least, possibly as big as 12/1, it was a very decent touch for me at the time I know that and she absolutely slooshed in, I got goose-bumps watching it again.

That's the baby.

At age three, in the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot Racecourse she was last entering the short straight but then raced past the entire field to defeat male horses of her own age and older including John W. Galbreath's Epsom Derby winner, Roberto to win by six lengths

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dahlia_(horse)

Of course, Roberto was a terrific Derby winner, so that was some effort.

She was out of the great Vaguely Noble.

Inevitably, Piggott wanted to ride Dahlia, so he rode her in the 1974 renewal, when she duly trotted up again, but she was never a better horse than that day at Ascot in '73 when she murdered her field giving them all 8 lengths start.

The previous 5 winners of the race were Busted, Royal Palace, Park Top, Nijinsky & Mill Reef. Dahlia topped them all & won it two years on the bounce. After DAhlia, the next 3 winners were Grundy, Pawneese, & The Minstrel. Shergar was to win the race 3 years after that.

And that is not even one tenth of the real story behind Dahlia.  The story gets ever better, ever more surreal, & ever more unbelievable.

To be continued......

Seeing as you are awake - the WillHill offer is available on line right now.

I'd say Melodic Rendevous each-way at 8/1 is a fine bet - throw in the 5 places and it's a MUST bet.

Before I go, here is Dahlia, in the 73 & 74 King George.

In the '74 renewal, Piggott is nicely placed behind the leaders 2 out, sitting motionless, then he looks over his shoulder, & lets Dahlia run, & off she went.

Still not sure what most of this means but our rally man in deep dark Mehico still seems to be in front.

No sweat - 30 seconds is the equivelant of nearly half a minute.

At the speeds they drive, that'd be about 2 miles.

We can start the whatsit soon.

Daily Summary, @ 0830, Saturday March 9th

We made a profit of £26.25 yesterday.

Simple story, two RL bets, one lost & one won, the winner (+£41.25) was @ 11/4, &, inevitably it was tipped up by hector.

Our winning team were 12 point dogs in the game, but won by 24, so those who played the handicap won by 36 points.

Our losing team got battered 38-zip. Backing Frenchies on a wet Friday March night in Yorkshire is probably ill-advised. Sorry Mr SpaceFrog.

Nothing else completed yesterday.

The pre-Cheltenham fervour continues, with more action taken on yesterday. Seperate Update follows.

Our forward liabilities (all, not just Cheltenham) now amount to £1,370, but that is spread over 55 bets, on 13 different Sports in 13 different countries.

Rally of Mexico

Our man leads by half a minute, with 13 stages completed. There are 7 more stages today, & three more tomorrow. Can still barely believe we are on a Rally in Mexico of all places.

http://www.crash.net/world+rally/news/188714/1/ogier_extends_rally_mexico_lead.html

Indian Wells Tennis

We are on Federer, effectively to Final, & he starts tonight @ 10pm UK time. He is 1/19 to win his first round match.

Gonzaga Bulldogs.

The zags start their post-season playoff campaign tonight, or I think they do, it is hard to find the info. We are on @ 33/1.

Proper Cricket

England had a better day, not so much us.

Anderson is Top Bowler with 4, one ahead of Broad.

In the Batter stakes, both Cook & Compton scored tons, with the latter still at the crease. Mr Trott needs to have a good knock.

http://www.espncricinfo.com/new-zealand-v-england-2013/engine/match/569243.html

Football

We are on Swanson @ 6/1 to score today for Peterborough.

We also have Wolves (DNB) over Forest @ 11/4.

We have a big sum on Spurs to beat Liverpool, but that is not until tomorrow.

Six Nations Rugby

We have £50 @ 11/10 on Ireland to beat the CESMs tonight on a cold wet Saturday in Ireland. How can we lose? We also have £5 @ 23/1 the Draw.

Not much going on this weekend then.
