England have looked woeful so far today, I'll be surprised if they can get a draw from this position.

McCullum fires yet another 50... 7 in his last 8 innings now - the only time he failed to get to a half century this tour (in both the ODI and test games) was his 38 in the 1st innings this match, when we had money on him!

Pretty unlucky with your Anderson bet as well, he came 1 short in the end and was bowling just before the declaration so could easily have picked up another wicket or two.

Latest update on the chess is here:

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=58441.msg1742520#msg1742520

Our man plays Vladmir Kramnik today, who sprang into life with a win yesterday. Carlsen played the wounded animal yesterday in his press conference, furious with the way he played against Aronian (and I imagine a little reflective of his game on Saturday). He has promised to do better and this makes for a heck of a match today.

cricket update

Broad 12
Anderson 11
Finn 11

was the final result

that has to be viewed as a disappointment, Anderson's lack of swing was unexpected, plus some injury niggles

Trott meanwhile, within an abject England performance, has chances to scoop

Trott 282 - completed
Compton 232 - completed
Prior 201 - still to bat

So if Prior gets 80 or less today, when England lose, the hector Trott bet wins

Thanks Rich.

Good news on Trott, if nothing else.

I've been away for a few days, with you as it happens, (!), got home at about 4am & I have no idea how Fred has done this weekend, but I''ll get us up to speed shortly with a full Update once I've sorted it all out.

Fred seems to have been very quiet all weekend, probably just as well, but my Diary has exploded with pop & rock music & bands, concrete, bridges & mororways. Life don't get much better than that.

Montenegro v England tomorrow

England are odds on to win in Montenegro

http://www.oddschecker.com/football/world-cup/matches/montenegro-v-england/winner

I consider this to be optmistic

As we know, Montenegro are a tough, dangerous team and Podgorica is a nasty venue to go at

"Capacity: 12,500

Three words to describe it: Small, hostile, atmospheric "

"no visiting international side has won in capital Podgorica for 16 months"

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21860552 gives all the relevant info

I suspect that England will be very happy NOT to lose, and take it down to the Wembley home game later in the group

Currently England can be laid at 1.84

http://www.betfair.com/exchange/football/market?id=1.108637448&mpch=ads&rfr=63

For discussion really, but I just cannot see how that is good value, and think they should be opposed/laid.

Are we able to back a load of Polish footballers to score first each way against San Marino?  I can't see any scorer markets at the moment.

Ha! Brilliant.

I saw the legend Dubai on Saturday, & he promised to sort us a few nice winners soon.

Hopefully, Doobsy will rise to the challenge to his supremacy.

Looks for all the world like a no bet match to me. I don't want to be funking for us not to win for a borderline price IMHO.

Sit back and just hope we can win job

pretty surprised to see both teams to score at evens

thought would be slight fav over no

england will score and its hard to see a new centre back partnership for england keeping two experienced serie a strikers out all game
