Hmmm...needs more salt...

Edit: thanks for the setup, Doobs. So worth it! Although what I said was true, there are so many of these "my mate's goldfish food supplier's ex-paperboy's uncle..." stories that it makes the whole market of next to no commercial value. Still fun tho

Can confirm I have put a tenner on just in case.  Adams 20/1 with Paddy Power.  Am determined to get one of these "right" and get an account closed somewhere.

i have told this before but i think it is worth telling again

about five years ago a northern based manager told my old man (who he lived next door to and was quite friendly with) he had landed and pretty much signed for a certain job

my old man and myself and a few others (including the manager via friends) piled on as much as we could (not masses but enough)

said manager never got the job

transpires that the board had told two others the same

these markets are an absolute bookmakers benefit even more so in this day and age were rumours spread quicker

had 2 or 3 pm's saying i must have some knowledge on jackett, can assure you i have none other than putting 2 + 2 together and equalling 6

probably just people speculating like myself wont take much money

Paddy Power now from 20s on Adams, #wouldntevenlayatenner.  Could just spend the afternoon spraying tenners around for japes.

Just thinking about that Walsall bet - the horsey one - which caused so much grief.

Do you think this might all be down to Eso Kral, & the bookies were running scared because Eso nailed it completely?

Stroke of genius to back Walsall to finish in every spot in the League, how could we lose?

You'd think bookmakers who put anyone who backed Walsall to be relegated AND promoted on double limits. not restrict them.
VC just offered me a free season ticket  Wink

To Walsall?  Novel way to close accounts....

If this turns out as well as Barnsley did I'll be happy!

Mumbai have just beaten KKR easily

Updated table http://www.iplt20.com/stats

looks like five teams for four spots.

Last year 8 wins got Chennai in in 4th but there is a greater disparity between good and bad teams this year, so looks like 9 wins required, minimum

Mumbai have four Round Robin games to go to get that win, preferably two

The final four is played out like a Rugby superleague format

the top two play. the winner makes the final direct. Pretty crucial to get top 2 but it will be a struggle to replace Chennai and Bangalore in those positions

third plays fourth, winner then plays loser of first v second game and winner of that plays in the final

Simple.

We should have a shot in the late stages, anyway.

Chris Froome odds-on for the Tour De France but 8/1 for SPOTY.

Wiggo managed to win SPOTY in an Olympic year. This year much weaker obv.

Anyone?

SPOTY discussions yee-haa

No major football comp
No major athletics meet

Ashes summer, but not terrestrial

Lions tour, but not terrestrial

Andy Murray-Wimbledon

Quite like Froome at 8-1 on a Murray won't win Wimbledon basis
