Blue?
Yes, took me a while to remember how to find it.
Glad you did

Daily Summary, 0945, Thursday May 9th
We made a very pleasing profit of £138.42 in the last 48 hours, so we are now blued out for May.
Two small losses (IPL & Lazio) & a £25 Free Bet that went south were balanced by.....
+£33 (£10 Free Bet) when Swansea beat Wigan, down to Tighty.
+£40 for the Wigan Lay, down to Dubai.
Two bets on Lazio, an outright, & one on the handicap, which yielded a total profit of £88.52, down to maldini. Very nice.
Chelsea & Spurs drew, to give us the merest glimmer of hope on the Chelsea & Arsenal wagers. We are in bad shape, thanks to what will likely have been Sir Alex Ferguson's last ever home defeat, which was not in the script at all, but we still have a flicker of hope.
Our Greyhound Derby portfolio is trundling along rather nicely, it seems.
In County Cricket, Tighty will doubtless give us chapter & verse, but I believe Middlesex had another rather good day yesterday, ending at 280-3.
I need to sort the Brighton lay today, as I head off to Dublin tomorrow morning, not back until Monday morning, & internet access & Fred time will be intermittent at best.

Chester Vase
Ruler of the World is 5/6
Aidan O'Brien is 0 for 9 in England this season
Rain is on the way
Its form has not been franked (the thing it finished clear with in its maiden flopped next time)
Can we oppose it?
I don't want a short price about it, thats for sure
Something like "Feel like dancing" which at 6-1 is a e/w 1/2 price too...in a 5 runner race?

The cricket captain market
After 4 games and innings so far in this
Rogers 413
Joyce-Sussex 232
Madsen - Derby 229
Tres-Som 208
Colly Durham 201
Troughton Warwicks 177
Smith Surrey 120
Reed Notts <100
Gale Yorks <100
Firstly, Rogers was one of the best bets this thread has seen.
Secondly, the Ashes tour starts June 26
Rogers has a maximum of nine more innings to build on his lead
Warwicks second innings
Somerset
Durham
Sussex
Yorkshire
The season ending injury to Graeme Smith made me look at this (new captain not a top six batsman), as he is out of the running and Rogers even if he scores 900 after 8 games won't win
It will take 1200-1400 runs to win it over 16 games, and Rogers picked for the Ashes is playing half a season
So of the others, who can win?
Reed, Gale and Troughton won't score that quantity of runs
Colly probably not at his age
that leaves Ed Joyce, Wayne Madsen and Trescothick
Madsen captains the worst side in the division. Upside of this is he will usually be getting two innings a game. Downside is he is not in the class of Joyce and Trescothick
Trescothick opens and has cut down on one day cricket to play every championship match. Joyce doesn't open
Trescothick should be the one dependent on price, but I can't see the market up anymore
If you can find it, and Trescothick isn't favourite, he should be I think

i dont have a view in the race
but betting eway first 2 in a 6 runner race is not ideal

Mr. Impatience might have a squeak at a huge price if the rain really gets into the ground.

Five runners horsey!
On the negative side, ROTW didn't beat a lot on debut and has cheekpieces slapped on today.
On the positive side, Aidan rates him and Tommy Seagull has put him up at 33-1 for the Derby.
I'm always inclined to go with what I've seen and I'd happily take him on at odds-on.

I'm not worried about relegation. Ladbrokes say we're 16/1 and those boys know what they're talking about.
We’ve got players here with the knack. You always have an eye for a goal but you can lose your eye of the tiger.
I’ve still got my eye for goal now but if you lose your eye of the tiger you are not actually moving to where the ball is going.
It is belief and confidence. When you are scoring you have got the eye of the tiger – everywhere you run the ball bounces in front of you.
It doesn't matter if his hamstring goes. He's got all summer to get over it.
The players have some pride – they don’t want to play in League One. Apart from Saturday, every time we’ve needed a win we’ve got one.
I’m old school but I also played against Gerrard and Henry - I saw the changes. I’m not a dinosaur. But football is straight-forward, tactically.
If we stay up on Saturday, then everything I’ve done looks as if it’s right
It's only Burnley and Brighton, it's not as if we're playing Arsenal and Man Utd
I understand fans anger but they should be confident as I believe the players will keep us up this weekend
If you have no personal pride and you don’t really care how you play on a Saturday, you will stop and have a cheeseburger and chips when you feel like one. But if you’ve got pride that you won’t play well if you eat it, you don’t eat it. And you won’t stop by the pub and drink three pints of lager if you’re worried about how you’re going to play in four days’ time, you go home
When the baby is up crying in the middle of the night you need to tell your wife to go deal with it because you can't play football when you're tired and it's the football that pays for all her expensive things like putting the kids through school.
When your wife serves you up something unhealthy for tea you need to tell her to make something different
If the lad misses his two goals we would've drawn
We should've scored 10
We won’t have a particular way of playing. We'll change it up from week to week. The opposition wont know what's hit them!
If you said to me ‘Do you want to open the batting for England. They are playing down the road’, I’d say ‘Go on then, give me a bat’.
Then I’d get to the bottom step and see the fast bowler marking his run-up and realise I can’t do that. But my first reaction is ‘I will give it a go’.
You have to have a bit of that without going over the top.
Some players go over the top. And you are deluded then. You are like the people on X Factor who think they can sing.
Looking back we should have won the last nine games
Look, if you had four managers in Boots the chemist and asked the staff how they feel, they wouldn't know whether they were coming or going: this manager liked what I was doing, this manager doesn't, am I doing the right thing, am I in the right place.

O'Brien 9/20 at Chester with big positive return on stakes FWIW.

I didn't really gain enthusiasm from John Gosden saying Feel Like Dancing is a "big green baby". Didn't sound like something I'd like to back at less than double figures round Chester.
Do agree that th favourite looks beatable and too short. I like Ralph's idea of Mister Impatience (raining now apparently). I also think Havana Beat is solid. Would rather back those two coupled at around 2/1 than lay the favourite though.
Wasn't in my top 5 of best races to really get stuck into today (three of them were obv at Southwell).
