<aftertiming alert>

I put a bet on Wigan to win by 1-6 points when I heard that Brown and Phelps were missing for Widnes @ 6/1

Just noticed I've got a bet with Coral on Quiney to be top Essex bat for some reason, could you point me in the right direction to see how that is getting on Tighty?

TIA

How did our RL bets get on tonight?

The Broadway is heaving, 146 runners for the £40 tourney. 7 of them are sober.

146? Blimey. Worth winning, that. Will you be exercising an option to buy back the main event shares?

You'll find the structure fun. 15,000 chips. 6x15 minute levels then one 30 minute level. Then the rest 25 minute levels.

Not well.

He has 150 runs so far. Westley has 502.

Fred doesn't do F1 wins, but...

Just watched second practice and we have Hamilton moaning about his seating position (can't get comfortable), the Red Bull car doesn't really do Canada and it's a track where straight line speed is king, as there aren't many fast corners to suit Herr Vettel and Crocodile Webber.

I'm just wondering about whether Paul Di Resta is worth a bet for a podium. He's 9/1 with S.J. and 8/1 with Sporting Bet. Generally 50/1+ for a win with the others (is there a standard ¼ odds for a podium?). Force India seems to be fast in a straight line and the Scot was better in Monaco than he has been for a while.

It will be a really close qualifying tomorrow.

Maybe one to watch?

I have backed him a couple of times this season at 150s and 200s, so 50/1 feels like they may have taken the things you talk about into account.

You can get 66s to win, bit 11s to podium feels a bit better to me (standard is a fifth).  I haven't taken it.

Daily Report

Loss on Month -£12.23

Outstanding Bets £1137.25

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc#gid=25

A pretty grim day with a loss of over £72. The one winner was Widnes +8 after a spirited performance against Wigan last night to only lose by a point

That apart the litany of losers covered a complete blank on cycling, the other rugby league bet and two Greyhound Derby entries, one of whom I was surprised to see was £20 e/w  worth - £40, a chunky bets months before qualification began

Today two bets are currently on, in the Belmont stakes in America and on Ola Afolabi in the boxing

In other sports, Northants won, Middlesex and Hampshire are wel placed to win, Mohammed Irfan starting his Champions League campaign well with three wickets and

- Canadian Grand Prix Qualifying today
- England Australia in the Champions Trophy cricket
- The Lions play in Queensland this morning
- England Argentina rugby tonight
- The final weekend of the French Open tennis, with Wimbledon in a fortnight

tikay is at an event in Birmingham with me, but will pass any recommendations on for him to action if possible

Gethin Jenkins is out of the Lions tour.
Bad news for the number of Welsh players in the first test bet.

Halfpenny

1 or both of Cuthbert/North

1 of Roberts/Davies

Phillips

Hibbard

Jones

A W Jones

Warburton

Lydiate or Tipuric

Falateau?

thats up to 10, so some leeway

Phillips is injured too, that would be a bigger blow as he was a banker

Halfpenny looks a certainty.   1
Both Welsh wings are a possibility although Tommy Bowe looked OK on Wednesday.  1.5
Tuilagi played inside centre on Wednesday but likely to be a Welshman.   1
Two Welsh flankers likely.   2
I'm a fan of Faletau but Heaslip is definitely in pole position for no 8.  0
Alun Wyn-Jones seems likely. 1
Adam Jones is a certainty. 1
Rory Best may challenge Hibbard although he didn't excel on Wednesday.  1

Total = 8.5.

Looks as though it will be OK to me barring injuries.

Edit: Ooops, missed Mike Phillips out. Smiley

Morning Mr T.

Today's Lions match should be the most competitive so far- not too hard! It is time for the test possibles to make a claim for a spot in the side and I think today Tuilagi will show his undoubted talent/brutality. In a tightish game they will need some go forward and he is the man to do it.

Suggest £10 Tuilagi man of the match @ 12-1 with betvictor.

Morning hector.

Full of 'flu this morning, & working all day. Yuk.

What is this new expression Hector, never heard that before?

they will need some go forward

You may well incur the go displeasure of our Grammatical Correspondent, Tal Bloke, if not, because he is unfailingly polite, his go wrath.

Might I instead suggest spunk?

That's as an alternative to 'go forward', I hasten to add.
