They have withdrawn the horse at Kempton....maybe saving it for another day now the rest haven't copped.....and they wonder why racing gets a bad press....
Def keep an eye on it, happened to a horse called Prohibition back in Jan, massive gamble from double figures into fav, it lost, came out the following week and won at double figures. Kosher game.

hmmm freds Masters tactics should be to get decent EW bets on former winners as Gary Woodland et al are covered by the excellent value maiden winner bet.
Are you saying that as Fred has a big maiden winner bet we aren't maximising our book by backing maidens individually doubleup?

The place part of the EW bet is usually much more profitable than the win part. The maiden winner bet gives an opportunity to hedge on previous winners with each way bets and be left with a small profit on the win side and several stand alone place bets that should be very profitable (particularly 6 places).
Fred might not quite have put on enough on the maiden winner bet to maximise this approach tho.

Backing Toronto -1 against New Orleans tonight. NO have pulled their star player saying he's injured, looks like a shot at tanking - deliberately losing to get better draft picks. They have a protected draft pick to consider too, I've had a decent bet (for me)

This man delivered the chess equivalent of a lengthy swing on the rim after an alley oop (one for you, there, Jaffa) today - Veselin Topalov. After his win against former world champ, Vlad Kramnik he delivers this bomb in the press conference:
"I played this move, 9.Be5 which is objectively dubious, but I thought for one game it was ok. It was pretty deep, maybe for him too deep"

Getting thrashed, be interesting if that changes in the second half. With the talented draft coming up there's loads of betting opportunities with the tanking teams. NO have a protected pick to think about in this draft coming up for eg

We missed an emotional spot with Jackson being introduced to the Knicks crowd with the Knicks working off 4 days rest at home to the pacers as a home dog. Knicks are the ultimate extremely lazy/extremely up for it inconsistent team and we really should have been involved here. Pacers with 23 points half way through the 2nd qtr just backs up what i said yday about them literally not having enough offense to get anywhere near contending for the title.

Good call Jeff and another example of the fact that watching an NBA bet before the last 6 minutes of the game is basically stress without purpose. I honestly dont understand why they don't just play two 3 minute halves and have dancing girls for the rest of the time!!!

Ha, I didn't love it for all but the last 2 mins. Wonder if they are deliberately tanking, and if so how u get the players to do so. They opened 13 for 16 so not like they came out trying to miss, but last few mins they were terrible.
Just for clarity, the point of the deliberate tank for NO is they traded away their pick in the upcoming draft, but it's 'protected', meaning if they get one of they top 6 players (I think it's top 6 protected, not sure how to find out exactly) then they get to keep the player, 7 or below and it goes to the team they traded it to (if that team misses out as NO get a top 6 player, the traded pick is rolled over til next year).
As this is a super strong draft year, probs best in 10 years, keeping your pick this year is a much better scenario, and the more games u lose, the better chance u have of getting a top pick in the lottery (the worst team gets 25% of the lottery balls, next worst 18% I think etc etc).
Defo some betting angles for teams looking to take adv of this strong draft, and defo some for teams with protected picks. Gonna investigate further!
Anyway bed time, basketball bet won, RVP bet won, was on Man U to get through thankyou Sonour and PP Messenger, which also seemed to get me a £20 freebet?!...what a good day, even if Fred was sleeping!
PS did look at NY with Jackson in the crowd but just didn't like the price, they were -1 I think, maybe +1, hoped they'd be like +5 against supposedly the best team (best record)

Daily Report
Loss on Month £707.75
Outstanding Bets £3850.68
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aia1Hxq-NDNWdFk3UmlTSXMzTjRBTVNfOWRndVFsZHc&usp=drive_web&pli=1#gid=22
A loss of £25 yesterday. Our Tough decisions the previous day on the budget buzzwords did not go our way. Unfortunately the thread missed a Jaffa special too once it was off duty for the evening, RVP at 7/2 on the PP offer, which potentially would have returned £350. RVP Scored first, second, third and Man U went through where they are 20-1 outsiders of eight in the Champions League quarter finals
In the T20CWC Ireland have now won both of their preliminary games and look favourites to go into England's Super 10 group. England lost in their warm up v India with Buttler in good form
There is a stonker tomorrow to kick the Super10s off, India v one of our selections Pakistan
